SpellForce 2 Patch - Editor

This SpellForce 2: Shadow Wars Downloads Page offers a new patch that brings Phenomic's strategy/RPG sequel to version 1.02 while also adding a new map editor. Word is: "Several improvements and additions are included in the latest patch for SpellForce 2 - Shadow Wars. The most interestign [sic] feature is of course the editor, which is intended to create own thrilling PvP and free-game maps, the perfect tool for dedicated multiplayer fans." I really like Spellforce 2. One of the better games I've played in a while. I don't believe the North American version has starforce either...though I could very well be wrong.

sp1 was "special" (buggy, annoyingly difficult sometimes, but unique). I played every add-on and tried different chars. Buy sp1 + all add-ons for 15€ and wait till sp2 drops to the same price. sp2 was very streamlined, made for the masses + (omfg) starforced -> unimpressive... but ymmv

back when Spellforce 1 came out, i was all kinds of thrilled ot download it.. so i grabbed it and within 45 minutes of playing the demo i was left thinking "wheres the action that i saw in the trailers"?
i couldnt get to enjoy any kinds of action and i was pissed.. so i stopped playing the demo.
sure.. i know i missed out, but shouldnt the demo be fun? maybe it was at the 46th minute.. but i wasnt about to spend any more time playing.

so i ask you this.. whats the difference between a duck with a cold..
err.. wait.
is Spellforce 2 any good? am i missing out?
currently for my RTS fix i am playing Earth 2160 and Rise of Legends.
