My guess/prediction
That Parker is jealous as his ex-buddy (Cant remember his name (dad was green goblin)) gets close with his girl, so parker gets nasty, breaks out the black costume.
The bit where he is on the bed asleep in spider gear, I think is a dream, representing the evil taking over the good spiderman.
Yeah, that seems to fit the general style of the last two.

hmm, very odd.
I ended up running firefox.exe -profilemanager from the start>run command line. it only gave me the option of opening firefox in the default profile, which happened to have all of my previous settings.
Very strange, basically I have no idea what happened but it all seems to be working now! thanks for the help Enahs!

I never normally click regular pop-ups, but this was for the actual installed ink monitor that dell has (Its the company machine so i dont really have a choice).

No.
Very annoying that it would delete the files. Usually their is delete file conformations out the butt hole.
You might check the directory structure manually and see if it somehow created a different user profile and that user became the default in FireFox. If so, all your old files and configs could still be their.
For default WinXP structure:
C:\Documents and Settings\[USER NAME HERE]\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

I just had Firefox reset itself. A Dell printer ink reminder flashed up, so I hit order ink, and it tried to open Firefox, but the first screen asked about importing bookmarks, and then when it opened the browser I had lost my home page, live feedds and my bookmarks...
Plus all of my saved passwords etc, very weird, and annoying, especially losing my bookmarks
Never click pop-ups on your machine.
