Out of the Blue

Gearing up for a mini-invasion, as the Smurfs are due to arrive this evening. The planned festivities include a return to the Mecca that is the Family Fun Center with its go-karts and such. Apparently the boys have been looking forward to heading back there since the moment we left the last time, so the weather better not cause a cancellation.

Nope, but I am sure you can explain your great experience to your shrink.

We are always to busy talking about how you hurt my feelings to talk about that!

Does anybody really believe he had to check Wikipedia to know that?%)

# Z said he likes the smell of his own poo poo.

# nin asked me out on a date....which was odd. It had nothing to do with sexual attraction, apparently he just needed some of his co-workers to think he was gay so he can use that as leverage to take off work on Elton Johns birthday.

OK, I don't remember either of these happening...

But...a day off work...hmm...

I'll get back to ya...

they were actually pretty harsh on the Mann, et al. study that gave us the infamous hockey stick graph, and derided much of the data used by Mann as unacceptable.

Even ignoring Mann, et al., what about the other 6 studies? All but the Tree rings, which is so all over the place as to be useless, show a dramatic spike in temperature over the last 100 years, coinciding exactly with the start of the industrial revolution.

  • Somebody beat Warhawk to posting something from Fox News….and he also posted something that was NOT from Fox News

  • Some dumb-ass named xXBatmanXx posted.

  • What else…what else, what else?

Ohh yeah, Santa Clause was caught having little children “sit on his lap” in the summer time…big shocker their!

Bashing domestic cars because of a dealers mechanic choices seems to be a bit of a stretch dont you think?

Not as much of a stretch as your assumption that I bash domestic cars based on a mechanic.

Hey Kannibal, I had something similar with my old Escort, but my problem was more random than your's sounds. It would just start bucking for no reason and it was difficult to recreate. I had to take it in 3 times for them to figure it out (at least it was still under warranty).

It ended up being that a wire going to one of the spark plugs was getting shorted out occassionally on the engine and wasn't properly sheathed, so a piston wouldn't fire correctly (or something like that, I suck at cars and this was a 4+ years ago so it's a little hazy now, but I definitly know something was shorted and a piston wasn't firing).

It may be worth mentioning at least. Good luck

Anyway, at about 2900 miles I started having a problem with the car. On a cold start, if I have to gun it (3k RPM) to cross a street the car starts hesitating and bucking like a friggin wild horse. It's insane, none of my family or friends could believe it.

There is a thermostat that tells the computer what the engine temp is so the puter can adjust for a cold engine. Sounds to me that that is the problem. The mechanics at the dealership you took it to are morons, take it somewhere else. Thats what you get for buying domestic.

May I suggest an ING Direct account?

Its all online, buts its interest rate is 4%, no minimum balance, unlimited number of money transfers, no monthly or yearly fee etc

The only downside is that it takes 2 days to withdraw your cash, which isnt really a big deal, so yeah check out http://www.ingdirect.com/

I have one of these and its great to have money easily accesable but still earning a decent amount of interest.
