Evening Q&As

  • Jagged Alliance 3D
The Jagged Alliance 3D Q&A on StrategyCore.co.uk chats with Elena Melnikova, PR manager of MiST land - South about the upcoming JA game: "We tried to keep the Jagged Alliance atmosphere but update it as much as possible. Of course it has improved graphics. It has a fully destructible environment including the buildings and the characters follow rag doll physics. We are proud of the audio of this game as well as our previous games. MiST land chooses very talented musicians and actors to create our music and record our voice acting. The intent is for the audio to match the atmosphere of the game as closely as possible."
  • Auto Assault
RPG Vault's Auto Assault Team Q&A #4 hits the devils at NetDevil with the following compound group question about their MMORPG: "What are your function and title on the Auto Assault team, and with respect to your personal contribution to the game, what stands out most, of what are you most proud, and why?"
  • World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade
World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Interview on BlueAlien.org offers an audio Q&A with Blizzard's Kristen DiMeza discussing the upcoming MMORPG expansion.

5. JA3D localization May 20, 2006, 16:25 Slaughter

Keep in mind that they don't care all that much about localization while they work on the game. I agree that quite a few foreign games has bad grammar in them, but you shouldn't draw conclusions from some screens that are taken from an early version.

lol I was just about to post that as well. The spelling is horrendous. I watched a gameplay vid a while back as well and was let down by the terrible animations. Silent Storm is more Jagged Alliance than this game is.

...it looks like they seriously need to spellcheck the hell out of this game or it's going to come across poorly made. Hope they do, cause it looks pretty good so far and god damn I miss this series.

2. too bad... May 20, 2006, 12:14 StylezXP

I'm really hoping this game doesn't suck. Jagged Alliance 2 is damn near the top of my favourite turn-based RPGs. It ranks right up there with Fallout 2, BG2, and Planescape torment

1. The JA2 Legacy May 20, 2006, 02:26 Tei

Ha-ha, I like the fact that they grilled them on the voice acting for JA3D. JA2 had the finest variety of voice talent combined with characterisation I have ever witnessed in a videogame. It was one of the distinctive elements beyond the spot on gameplay that makes JA2 a blast to play 7 years later.

I'll try to give JA3D a fair shake, but I strongly doubt I will ever hear a perfectly reproduced Québec accent in a videogame again.
