Well I am Autistic. But I really did love the movies and the production quality. Ea really was able to transfer that to their games about Lord of the RIngs.

You can keep up with these forums you can read the fucking books, slacker.

I think i'll pass, the movie version is the only version in my opinion. [...] Its a shame EA isn't making this one.

There is so much wrong with those statements.. You are quite clearly insane.

Don't kid yourself, it's Turbine. You know all they did was churn out the standard hobbits-and-orcs RPG and slap the LOTR franchise on top. Turbine is one of those companies that has one good game (Asheron's Call) and just rides the reputation they built up, which isn't looking so good anymore.

reminds me of SOE and their everquest game.

And no, EA-the cash-cow should NOT make this. Good god, what is wrong with you?

This lotr isn't based on the movie version. Its a made up version based on the book. I think i'll pass, the movie version is the only version in my opinion. The production value of Battle of Middle earth made by EA was good. Its a shame EA isn't making this one.

What a surprise! Now the sign-up site is undergoing maintenance. Barely started and already the site needs maintenance. Doesn't bode well for the game's, or Turbine's, future. Can they do anything well?

I agree DDO does not come off well for some, including me, I am hoping that they have taken the LOTR story to heart. The story line is rich, and considering this MMO is about the beginning of the Nazgul, it could play out for a while.

This game will suck, like DDO does

On the bright side should be able to get into the beta cause no one really cares!

That link (beta.turbine.com) ends up pointing at the DDO beta signup form. I remember they had issues with that for DDO also. I don't want to say it's not shaping up so well based on a beta sign-up page, but.. well, I just did.

edit: looks like someone noticed and is fixing it.
