TotalWar.Com has the official announcement of Rome: Total War - Alexander (thanks Frans), the recently revealed (story) continuation of the historical RTS series. A new mini-site for the game is live, and here's word:

Today we’re delighted to announce officially Rome- Total War – Alexander, the latest expansion pack for the award winning title, Rome: Total War.

Alexander features a brand new campaign game in which players take on the role of the great military leader, Alexander the Great. The campaign plays out on a brand new campaign map and challenges you to replicate Alexander’s incredible feats by unifying Greece and conquering the mighty Persian Empire. The pack also includes six new historical battles, highlighting Alexander’s most significant clashes, a brand new multiplayer mode, and narration throughout by none other than Brian Blessed. Altogether there are 4 new factions, over 60 new units and more than 30 hours of gameplay.

The pack will be available as a digital download in June from this site along with www.sega.com and www.sega-europe.com. Stay tuned for more information on this very soon.
