CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder Demo

Telltale Games now offers a new playable demo for CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder, the mystery/adventure game sequel based on one of the 52 current television series about forensic investigation. Interestingly, the case in the demo is titled "First-person Shooter," which takes place at a gaming convention. There are two versions, one English and the other Spanish, the English demo can be found mirrored on 3D Gamers, FileNuts, Gameguru Mania, Gamer's Hell, Strategy Informer, and Worthplaying.

I just got cable a few months ago for the first time in many years and actually enjoy watching CSI once in awhile. Generally I'm not really into TV.

I also like fairly brain-dead point and click adventure games from time to time. Not the kind with ridiculously hard puzzles that don't logically fit into the game, but relaxing adventures with an interactive story.

I kind of liked this, sort of like being in an episode of CSI. Actually there are five episodes and I never had to use a walkthrough so it was pretty easy. And also fairly short, probably one of the shortest games I've played, but it was only thirty bucks I think.

The voice acting is done by all of the show's actors except for Willows and Sara, graphics aren't great but it was good mindless entertainment for me. I'll probably give this game to my mom, maybe she'll get into adventure games and I can then move her on to something better if she likes it.

Try the demo, it's the second of five episodes I believe. If you like it and think another four are worth thirty dollars, then buy it. I would have prefered maybe ten episodes altogether for fifty bucks, but it is what it is.

Edit: Apperantly most (if not all) of the episodes were written with (or by) one of the regular script writers for the show, so they all have the standard CSI 'twists'...
