I played Desert Combat for a few hours yesterday. Man, what a difference. If they could implement a few things into the '42 engine, I'd never go back to BF2.
1. A commo rose 2. virtual floating outpost flags (like in BFV and BF2)

While I agree with most of these, you do know that Deus Ex didn't even have multiplayer support on release, right? The question was 2 part. There was an "or" used. Which means it could fit in one of two categories. Online or flawless.

There are a lot of them. Pretty much anything pre-2001. While I agree with most of these, you do know that Deus Ex didn't even have multiplayer support on release, right?

Oh, then show me a good game that can get that kind of action.

Jeez, stop complaining about all the bugs!! EA has already said they'll be fixed...
in Battlefield 2142!
Assuming EA is still alive in 2142.

Even with all the time it's taken to fix (and we all know they aren't done), nothing compares to a full 64 player server. Show me another game where you get that kind of action. That's why I still buy Battlefield games.
But please god, when will they fix the AT missiles going right through their intended targets?
Oh, and put bunnyhopping and dolphin diving back in the game. Screw people that can't hit a moving target.

Out of the box was nearly a year ago, man.
I dig BF2, but saying that it's not buggy is a pretty big stretch.
Oh yeah, here's a funny quote from this month's PC Gamer:
DICE's Stockholm, Sweden, team (responsible for Battlefield 1942 and Battlefield 2) started work on BF 2142 immediately after BF 2 shipped. Gee, that doesn't explain a lot, now does it.

I enjoy the shit out of this game. Sure it has some frustrations, but I've dealt with that on every game I have played online for 11 years now. In fact, i'll be putting 3 hours in tonight

I don't understand why anyone would continue to support DICE/EA after this game. Even with all the bugs & EA crap, I still enjoy BF2. That's why I've purchased the SF & EF addons. It runs great on my rig at 1280x1024, everything maxed (few thing @ veryhigh), and 2xAA) and always has, even though my rig is outdated.
This new patch has renewed my love of the AT class, the P-90 is very good now. All DICE/EA has to do now is fix that damn red tag bug & make the eng class more capable. It's taken me 5 months to get veteran eng because of the 10 repair points in a round, wtf?

Hell, I don't understand why anyone would after BF:V. Cause BF2 had some really sweet trailers? ...and Gulf of Oman was a pretty sweet pick for the demo, too.
