This could be a great game. I'll certainly be keeping my eyes open for it. I hope there will be a demo for it.

Yes, Stunt Car Racer was great.
Shadowcat : I agree with you, the point in Trackmania is not to have collision with other cars. It's a deliberate and interesting choice, especially when you've got a lot of cars online. NSR is going to be different from Crashday too, since Crashday has weapons. NSR is really about pure piloting, in the classical way, but with stunt tracks. I found that Crashday was really horrible to play. Before this game came out, I couldn't tell what it was about, and when I tried it, I felt the same problem. Doing a good receipie is not about adding a lot of attractive things and mixing them without taste.

At least that game from 'YEARS' ago had AI that you had to race against unlike the TM stuff. TM would be an utterly different game if you could collide with the recorded opposition cars (I assume that's what you're talking about). It's not a deficiency in the game. It's intentional design.
If you want a game where you race other cars, why are you even playing TM? If you want a game where it's all about You vs The Track, Trackmania delivers magnificently!!
Halutotale: Well it certainly sounds like NSR is a totally different game, then. TM does have some aerial control, though. Perhaps NSR has more in common with Crashday? (How did that game turn out...?)

I'm pretty sure there will be no starforce or other protections with the cd. They know anyway that these kind of protections are useless and anoying to the user.

It's not a rip off TM, it's really different. This game has been inspired by Stunt Car Racer on the Amiga and Hard drivin'. I know that because I know the developpers and I've tested the game. They started to develop the game before the first TM came out... They have collisions and competitive A.I. The physics are much more realistic than TM, they have jet engine and aerial control, which TM does'nt have.

Stunt car racer anyone?
This would be great MP, has this thing got Multiplayer support?
I hope this isnt a flop like PowerDrome was.
This would be great if it had the 360 degrees (afterburner?) sit in arcade rig

Actually I liked 'Stuntcar Racer' on the old Amiga. At least that game from 'YEARS' ago had AI that you had to race against unlike the TM stuff.

Hopefully it has better gameplay than TMN and Sunrise too! (as well as the graphics) huh?
Have you actually PLAYED TM Sunrise? Its a budget game that has better graphics and more gameplay than full blown AAA games. I won't even mention the track editor that a monkey could learn to use in a day. Its arguably one of the best values of 2005.
TM nations is 100% free so any criticisms go out the window AFAIC.
