REMEMBER GR2?
DEVELOPMENT MONEY = MEETING TIME DEADLINES..
THEY PUT DEVELOPMENT MONEY WHERE THEY THINK IT IS IMPORTANT TO THEM......CONSOLE SALES
THUS, PC GAMES ARE NOT IMPORTANT TO UBI.

Did any gamers actually WANT Ghost Recon to be turned into a 3rd person arcade game like this? I would have liked an improved Ghost Recon, instead we got something completely unrelated that uses the franchise for what the marketing department think is an instant fan-base.
Bleh, considering the stuff I've seen released on PC in the last few years, that argument doesn't hold much validity anymore.
They just want to delay it so the impatient people will get it on the PS2 or XBox 360.
It was always scheduled to come out on the 360 first, so I'm not sure where the logic in delaying because of that is. It's practically a different game on the 360.
Seriously, I don't expect the game to suck, but considering they skipped a generation in the release for the PC, the fall will be harder if they don't get it right. Just hope to god it isn't as hard as GR1. Loved that game, but got sick real quick about playing R6 via ranged combat.

If MS would only smarten up and release a fucking keyboard/mouse for the 360 I wouldn't mind getting that version (once I had a 360 that is....)

The PC version of GRAW is not 3rd person. That's the xbox 360 version. PC is in first person only.

Yeah, the sad thing is this POS will sell with the console 'tard crowd anyway, but won't sell on the PC. This will be blamed on the PC in general and used to justify more shitty console games.
Shame on you, Tom Clancy! :^P

I entirely disagree, R6 3 is still IMO the best tactical shooter game on the market. With Swat 4 running a close second.
*adds Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon to the list of crappy port franchises*

The only good Clancy games for the PC now are the Splinter Cell ones...and this Double Agent title coming up has me skeptical as well. I think Ubi is turning the whole thing into console-only after GR and R6 were ground-breaking PC titles...they also dumped on the flight sim community.

I have to agree with a previous post regarding Lockdown. They promised alot to the PC community regarding Lockdown, but it came out and it's just another POS game. They have succesfully destroyed Ravenshield franchise with it's release for the PC. They had to delay Warfighter--why, because it will be another great series/game ruined and I really doubt that they have made a game that does the Ghost Recon name proud. They are just waiting for the overwhelming negative reviews and comments about Lockdown to die so they won't have back to back BAD pc games released. They will be able to say that they have a succesful game because the consolers have bought the dumbed down versions of games that were once classic tatical shooters. That is the group of players that these games are aimed at.(short attention span, no patience, run and gun young males)

nice to here the 360 version is on track, this game looked more geared towards consoles anyway. Looking forward to march 10th or so.

Has this been confirmed by anyone else other than eurogamer? I really hope its not so; I've been looking forward to this! I really hope it doesnt suck like RS:Lockdown or doesnt get completely cancelled like GR2.

Well if they pull the shit they did with R6 Lockdown then they can take the Tom Clancy Franchise attach it to a mortar shell and shove it where the sun don't shine. Oh yeah and they can proptly detonate it too.

They may have to do this to polish the PC version, who knows. But one thing is certain: UBI knows that if the PC version comes out before the console version, they would have a much more critical and negative bunch of gamers to appease first (even moreso since the GR2 disaster).
Think about it! How long have PC gamers been waiting for the next Ghost Recon? The general PC gamer concensous is: "It had better be good, 'cause after WE put the GR series on the damn map, you pushed us aside in favor of the quick sales of the console market."
Also jaded PC gamers/reviewers will take a game down a notch anyway, as they are usually the ones to speak up. With the consoles, you can always sell to a sucker.
If the consoles were sent to stores after the PC game came out in this scenario, they could lose potential money in the console market based on the (potentially) bad PC game's reception. It's way too risky for them to push the PC game out first. Better to sell the game to the console gaming herd early...
Another clue: Look at Rainbow Six: Lockdown for the PC right now. They totally delayed the game for the PC. It pissed PC gamers off. The game came out and it is getting lack luster reviews throughout the community. They know the strategy they need to take in order to clean up properly. Needless to say, since they didn't cater to the PC community first, the Rainbow Series is probably going to only exist on consoles from this point forward.
To be honest, I think that when GR3 comes out, it will be the last nail in the coffin for UBI publishing these titles to the PC. I don't think that people will say GR3 will be an exceptional game for the PC. I think people will say (now that it's coming out later) that it is just another console port with extra bells n' whistles, or that the game is so far removed from the Original GR that it doesn't hold up to its lineage.
I totally hope I'm wrong.

This is a load of horse poopy. This is the same crap they pulled with GR2, "oh we have to delay it" "oh we need to hold off on the release for unknown reasons" OH Wait we are not going to release GR2 to PC!! Fooled you! This is just going full circle again. I just terminated my pre-order. I'm not going to wait for some vapor-ware software.
