Lights...Camera....ACTION!

AQ3 was fun while it lasted too.

Edit: Everyone should try Shadow of the Colossus! Hard to believe that game was even possible on the PS2.

Gobble, gobble, GGGOOOOBBBLLLEEEEE!!!!!1

(Translation: Happy Turkey Day, everybody.)

I was considering PoN for the PC, but the reviews were lukewarm and stated how the PC version was, in some ways, worse than the console version.

I am looking at one more purchase now...just not sure if I should get Kong, Stubbs, get Myst V after all, or just that new Alias box set I wanted.
Mmmm....Garner....
Winding down on X3,
Ray

The shareware was out June 22, 1996. It's also how I remember my wedding anniversary. I remember my wife rushing me out of the house the morning of the 23rd to make the plane for our honeymoon because I was too busy playing.

And I think people who don't mind being exploited by the rich are a detriment to the rest of humanity.
Yeah dude I agree, but I don't think that happens when you get a rich kid being a twat with their money*. He's not exploiting me if he's spending his daddy's money on an Xbox. There's a big difference between him being a twat and the sort of stuff (I think) you're talking about.

*or 'money which their parents gave them,' whatever

67. Happy Thanksgiving folks Nov 24, 2005, 03:40 Creston

On a sidenote, I got Path of Neo for the Xbox, and I have to say it's very enjoyable so far. The only real downside is that the graphics truly truly suck. I mean, really year 2000 type graphics. It's noticeable enough to be annoying.

But the gameplay is pretty smooth and, more importantly, just fun. While I'm doing very little more than just mashing the Y button it seems, with the occasional B (special attack) and X (evade) thrown in, and I'm pulling off some fucking awesome shit that'll have you going "whoa!" every time you see it.

The missions are pretty good so far, with exception of a few training missions which seem really too farfetched.

But all in all, it's very enjoyable so far if you can ignore the graphics, much much much much much better than Enter the Matrix. The game seems to indicate I'm around level 12 out of ~30ish or so, but pretty much all of those have been training levels, so I think lengthwise it should be fairly good.

Not sure I understand the purpose of that "special powers" screen you get after every level, though.
And they could have been quite a bit clearer that the lobby fight at the beginning is just a test to see what difficulty level would be good for you. I was bitching after having died for the 5th time against those SWAT guys, when I realised I could just select a Diff level and actually begin to play the REAL game. Yeah, some instructions there would have been pleasant.

But, if you got a Billbox (or a PS2, I imagine it's fairly similar), I can recommend it at least for a rent.

66. Quake anniversary? Nov 24, 2005, 03:26 Sixis

I don't know...I remember the Qtest coming out in early spring, and I'm positive the shareware version came out June 21 or 22. And then the full version followed in the mail at the end of Summer (early August?)

Is my memory totally FUBAR or is Blue refering to the anniversary of when the full version came out in retail stores?

Speaking of sequel, not entirely relevant, but check out Warsow if you crave QW style multiplayer (more accurately, CPMA physics)

http://www.warsow.net/

Free Q2 based game. MP only, not too shabby.

Dammit Gogamer! The deals MUST STOP!

Heh - I totally agree, nin! I saw that The Movies was finally on sale and snapped it up today. Hopefully it'll arrive next Monday. Since the thing outputs AVI's I'm thinking it wouldn't be too hard to add extra stuff (titles, effects, etc.) using a video editor of some sort (or would that be considered cheating?)

As for X3 - I'm hooked, since it reminds me a lot like Elite 2: Frontier. There are some "issues" of course (for example the game will crap out if you load up a savegame too many times) but I'm liking it anyways. I've got a couple freighters FedEx'ing some energy cells while I raise hell in other parts of the universe.

BTW Happy Thanksgiving to y'all...

I'm no rich kid, but I think people that whine on about hating rich people are just as bad as the arrogant kid who doesn't know the value of money.

And I think people who don't mind being exploited by the rich are a detriment to the rest of humanity.

also speaks: Swedish, Tagalog, Urdu

lol...yeah, I guess when she goes to Pakistan (she lists Urdu as a language) she'll be understood. Probably some dude somewhere set up that profile to see all suckers who express interest in it.

You've got issues.

Y'know... freedom fighters could easily use ebay to ferret out those having too much money... hmmm.

You've got more than just issues.

Hijacking a truck full of exbox 360s, setting it on fire, and driving down the highway ablaze, while tossing flaming exbox 360s out the back at the traffic behind you?
That's sticking it to the man.
YES! YES! *evil cackle*

I'm going to buy an XBox 360 and only allow my family to watch Star Wars Episode 1 and Matrrix Revolutions on it.

That will stick it to the man!

Anyone else remember a night about 9 years ago when you were constantly hitting refresh on your web browser waiting for id to finally release the quake demo?
