GG is not in the dictionary because it's an acronym. Look up good and game. I am sure they're in the dictionary. Good is an adjective in this usage.

Great response, minus the spelling nitpicking, I even though about including a secret text "don't check my spelling." Sort of derailed by the whole "I hate cheating" argument, I hate it too, that's why I play on VAC2 CS:S servers. I'll just repeat again, I have yet to see a hacker in a VAC2 CS:S server since March when it was released. Also I respect your reasoning for "kids play cs" but I think you will find if you spend time on a server getting to know the regulars, the average age is more likely to be 18-19. The problem is the younger players are usually the most vocal and it sets out a bad impression that everyone playing are kids. I still disagree most strongly with combining the two and saying that "kids = hackers" in my opinion it should be more like " alot of people hack but this number is marginal to the amount that doesn't."
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheating_in_Counter-Strike -Read Vac2 section, because it's wikipedia if it wasn't true it would be changed immediatly. People obsess over that site and I am sure a few wars have been fought over that page. In fact I have been a part of them in the past. The guy who wrote the meat of the page is really a cynic and think everyone cheats. For him to say that cheating has nearly disappeared from VAC2 CS:S servers is a real accomplishment.
We'll have to agree to disagree and here's my info:
Sepharo I usually play all evening depending if any other game has grabbed my interest. 5pm - 1am eastern time. Obviously not all at once but those are the times I'd be on. You have my 2 servers, I don't stray from them too often.

Once again with your assumptions... I've been playing CS since 1999 beta 5.0, Christmas Day 1999. I consider myself an excellent player, I've been in numerous leagues and won numerous tournaments. But that's where the e-penis waving stops. I don't play competitive anymore because in my opinion there are far more harckers in competitive leagues, who are most certaintly not kids [at least not 11 as you say]. Now the only CS I play is for a few hours a night on CS:S pubs. I once again will repeat what I said, with VAC2 on CS:S I have yet to see a hacker. That's to say, since VAC2 has been on CS:S servers I have not seen one hacker. Once again, I can not speak for CS 1.6 because I do not play it anylonger. Also there were hacks looong before v1.0. I can remember spiked models, white walls, and hacked sounds. Back when things ike that were encourage to me modified by the CS team, not realizing it could be used to gain an advantage. Also crude aimbots were around as were invisible wall textures. All of these people are children. I can safely say ALL, because the percentage is that high. That some of the worst reasoning I have ever seen in my life. A LOT OF KIDS HACK BECAUSE A LOT OF KIDS HACK... Great work professor, now let's see some research. Basically, I just get sick and tired of the stereotypes applied to CS. It's a popular game, it's THE most popular game [other than the sims]. Of course it's going to have it's kids, and it's cheaters. But that doesn't mean a large percentage of the players are either or, and especially not both!
We should play sometime, maybe I am one of those kids [19 years old], who you consider to be a hacker. I certaintly get banned for it often enough even though I've never hacked in my life. If anything I think a lot of the people with admin on these servers are the kids. SLAP SLAP BURN BURN FREEZE, SLAY SLAY, KICK BAN! "OMG CHEAT0R GET FCK OUT OF MY SERVAR!" But I try to stay with one server and get to know the people and make it qutie clear that I don't cheat. Right now I have 2 good communities I play at and I never see hackers in there servers and the admins are usually respectful of the players.
Well, use a spell-checker. You’re kind of sloppy. Harckers, certaintly, anylonger, looong, ike, certaintly, qutie. It’s just not helping your case to argue when you’re making so many basic mistakes in communicating your point.
Secondly, I actually agree with you to an extent and your humor is well played (“the e-penis waving stops”). As far as leagues, I’m guessing you mean clans. I’ve seen that & I agree with you.
Third, regarding pre-1.0 cheating. I really don’t remember much of it. I might be making huge mistakes in my own time-line thinking & that bunny-hopping was the big deal in 5.2 etc. I thought that it all started with the retail release. I’m absolutely sure that the cheating became more prevalent after the retail release because my friend purchased it then & that was a marker for me. But you are probably right in that CS was quite popular before the retail release and may have had a lot of cheating issues. To tell you the truth, I was drunk every night and sometimes day to night during that time so I can’t be sure. What I do know for a fact is that when it was new & they had maps like CS_Desert and gun-running was the big exploit of the day, there really wasn’t any hacking in the game. It was clean. This lasted for some time, until at least the Para was a weapon.
I’m surprised by your answers because I thought you would just come back with a bunch of shit & backlash like Batman always does. But, although you disagree with me, you don’t sound like a complete fucking idiot. I’d like to know when you usually play GMT time and what your CS name is so that I can come in there & see you play. If you’re better than me, I will congratulate you. If you are not, I won’t be a dick about it. I was surprised that you put the IPs up. That gives a lot to your argument.
I think that all in all, I still firmly believe that children (read that as younger than 16) make up the largest proportion of CS players and that these same children make up the largest proportion of cheaters, hackers, & exploiters in the game today & since the retail release. If I’m wrong, so be it. But this is my impression. I know that a lot of older players do play the game & I personally have known 25 yr olds to use wall hacks etc. But almost always, it’s the youngest player that has no patience to learn the game & needs to feel like the hero & will do whatever necessary to feel like that hero; and this lack of personal self-confidence leads to them abusing the game & ruining it for others. I’ve seen it time & time again and if you are truly a good player then you too should have recognized it. VAC2 catches the most obvious offenses, but my feeling is that it only stops the top 2 or 3 & does not do enough. Also, I would rather that they would be firmly warned to cease & desist and if they continued that they would be arrested by police for breach of contract, computer hacking, and any other crime we could think of charging them with. Fines should be incredible, at $1000 or more. Parents just don’t give a shit what their children are doing. The fine should be $1000 for a child even possessing a mature-rated game. I’m sick & tired of my vices being abused by minors. I bet exploits & cheating would drop dramatically if a few kid’s parents fined $5,000 for allowing their child to own a video game that was meant for adults.
Personally, if I saw a cheater in a Lan Party, I might murder him. It’s really that serious. And I wouldn’t even care about the consequences. To me, I would feel like I would get national attention & Blues News would certainly relay the story as would many other internet sites and the message would be that we’re not going to tolerate it anymore.
“A boy was murdered today while attending a gaming event in South California. No further information is known about what infringement the boy made, but the man being held in detention has suggested that the boy was cheating in some way. While this may seem trite, emotions run high & many people at the event actually supported the murder at the time until police and ambulances showed up and the reality of life overshadowed the suspended disbelief of gaming life.
The boy was rushed to the hospital with 189 stab wounds to the chest, stomach, groin, buttocks, limbs, and head. Onlookers were reportedly cheering the murder after the cheater was exposed. The boy lost nearly all of his blood and is in critical condition.”
If I was the perpetrator, I would be proud. People would remember me. I might not last long in prison because of the way I killed him, or just because, but I would feel good about what I did. And I would do it again.
You think that cheating is funny? You better think again. And you best not bring that shit to a live event unless you want to be beaten down or outright killed. Because if you read the websites, everyone has had it with cheaters and they are so hated that killing one would be a feather in the hat rather than a tragedy. It’s best to think about it like this…. I once had my computer rebooted by a Team Fortress Admin. You think you’re safe? You think you are *REALLY ANOMYNOUS*? If you do, then great; and good luck, and we hate you day by day. But there are some smart mother fuckers out there & they will chop your shit up & kill you. They’ll send your own computer files to the FBI & you won’t even know how the fuck they got your IP or *HELLO* how they got into your computer (as if it is a completely safe haven, free from their crime). To me, this is the best case scenario. I’d rather see a cheater killed or imprisoned than to see a small fine. I hate cheaters & I think they should get one fine & that fine should be $1000 and after that, it’s jail time.
If developers, such as Valve, pursued this; then you would have very angry customers for about 10 minutes while the *cheaters* cried. Afterward, everyone would say that your company has balls and would believe in your anti-cheating software. They would say VAC2 is powerful. If you don’t play along, you get banned & if you get banned twice, you go to court.
My viewpoint is that cheaters should have their genitals wacked off with a rusty machete & their hands & feet should be replaced with rubber tips. Just cut that shit off at the ankles & wrists. They’ll never cheat again.
I hate cheaters & I’ll beat the mother fucking shit out of anyone I see cheat in a Lan party anywhere. I’ve done it before and I’ll be fucking more than glad to do it again.

Sepharo, I've been playing CS since there was a CS; long, long before Valve even knew about it. There were no cheaters then.
Fast forward to Valve's release of CS 1.0; at first it was okay. Then by 1.2 there were bunny hoppers, wall-hackers, aim-bots, and mygot. Why? Because it became mainstream & children were buying it en masse.
VAC2 is better. But I still see hackers. If you aren't seeing them then you aren't a very good player able to recognize the limitations of the player's ability. VAC2 doesn't catch everything. One way I've seen kids hack is to abuse gamma to the point that everything is tweaked so much it's far beyond nightvision. Or a shitty video card that allows people to see right through boxes when they set it up as described by some "KIDS" on a website I won't mention. Or the abuses of console commands which allow them to do things the average gamer would not do, all those CL_COMMANDS that no one touches unless they are trying to exploit them game for their own selfish benefit.
All of these people are children. I can safely say ALL, because the percentage is that high.

Holy ignorance batman! Let's try to make some more generalizations while were at it:
"Zeph probably get's his ass handed to him all day then cries about how he never got a chance to play the game WHEN he was younger"
See, that's a poor assumption, [not really a generalization I guess] and I wasn't justified in making it. As I know little of your playing habits, just as you know little of the demographic that plays CS or why it has the perceived problems that it does. I've been playing CS:Source since the day it came out... Most of you will think what I am about to say is a gross exaggeration but I assure you it's not: "I have never seen a hacker in CS:S." I have played everyday for months on end and no hackers. None in the evening, none in morning, none ever. VAC2 does it's joib well in source. I can't speak for regular CS. When I did play regular CS for 4 years or so before source, I can assure you that all the hackers I have met in my life [some of them my own friends and clan mates] were not eleven years old. They were guy thinking they could get away with hacking in leagues and hack their way to internet-stardom [pathetic]. I guess I am just sick and tired of hearing the stereotypes about CS. Usually comes down to "ALL CS PLAYERS ARE HACKERS AND LITTLE KIDS". Yeah there are some people who are hackers and some who are kids but they're a small percentage.
Far less cheating; down to the point of almost none. That my friend is hillarious. Get rid of the kids and hacking will be done FOREVER! What age should we start at? What magical age does a player become mature and realize he doesn't need to use hacks... Wow never.
Remember: http://www.penny-arcade.com/images/2004/20040319l.jpg
