So it's all Creston's doing, is it? Figures.

I'm certainly glad to know that its not MY fault I misinterpreted 11/15 as being some completely random and non-specific day in October. That shit would be embarrassing otherwise

Still, this does not bode well for my chances of success in getting us our game three weeks ago, since I understand that Creston has recently departed for space and won't be seen for many months.. Powerful man -- good actor. But sooo bad!

Why do I get the feeling that at this very minute he's building a galactic empire of l33t video game traders hoarders unlike any the universe has ever known?

Well, see, 11-15-05 means November 15th of 2005. As today is November 2nd of 2005, November 15th would be almost two weeks away. And that....oh, you knew that already?

Yup, yup, I have one or two games to purchase now that Oblivion has flipped us the bird and run to '06. I think Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse seems like the most stupidly fun game out of all my potential purchases, I am still really hoping that Gun turns out quite well (not expecting the next great western FPS, but hoping it is fun, quirky experience.) Alternately, I can see myself going for the "cinematic," if not a bit daft, experience of King Kong or purchasing one of the already-released games (Myst V, Call of Duty 2, Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood, or maybe even demo-less Quake 4) if GoGamer puts them up at the right price.

As for X3, the single biggest thing I did to get that to ship was asking Creston to stop throwing tantrums over X3 being my game, promising him that I would allow him to have a (sympathy) copy of it, and stop sabotaging its release. I am not sure how you will approach him about this one, but just be firm and strict with him - he will eventually stop messing around with our game.
Hee hee! Bad, Creston, BBBAAADDD!

That's what I meant - he shouldn't have to open another window and add it from there - your idea of a straight right-click on a link seems much easier...

Yeah, but Blue should really change the RSS feed link to something that's actually recognized as an RSS feed too. I'm not an HTML expert, so I won't presume to guess the various methods that would be appropriate.

I'm glancing through the Firefox Bugzilla and there are several enhancements and/or defects listed related to this. Looks like some improvement may be targeted for 1.5.1, and there's talk of an overhaul of the entire RSS feed system for 2.0. The UI designers are having coniptions over the "right" way to do it, and there are accessibility issues as well (if you don't use a mouse, it's remarkably hard to create a Live Bookmark, even if FF realizes there's one for the page).

Now, that said, FF could be better about this and if you right click on a link that is to a rss/rdf allow you to add a Live Bookmark (or just let you do Add Live Bookmark from anywhere; buyer beware). I really don't think adding a Live Bookmark is very intuitive in FF. It's not on the right click menu or the Bookmark menu. If you don't have the icon in the address bar then you can only do it through the Bookmark Manager.

it looks more like a FF issue than Blue's

I'd say half and half. Most sites that have an RSS feed have a link tag with a type of "application/rss+xml" as an attribute. That appears to be what FF uses to detect an RSS feed.

Blue only has a simple, old-school A tag with no indicator that it's the RSS feed other thank the link itself (which is inadequate -- if you view source and search for "rss" you'll find it all over the place since a lot of links are to RSS feeds). But if we get into a discussion of updating the HTML here we may never stop...

Now, that said, FF could be better about this and if you right click on a link that is to a rss/rdf allow you to add a Live Bookmark (or just let you do Add Live Bookmark from anywhere; buyer beware). BTW, nin's solution (which is the correct one) is findable by Googling for "Firefox RSS". First hit.

That's good, but then let me change the request to "how about an easily accessible RSS feed?" I don't see the little orange icon when I access Blue's; I don't know what to do with an .rdf file and have little inclination to work it out, and googling for "blue's news rss" provides a number of hits but still no easy way to subscribe to the feed (as far as I could tell in my two minutes of intensive research).

Using FF?

Bookmarks, Manage Bookmarks.

File, New Live Bookmark, and paste in:

edit: Yes, it should be easier (to add), but it looks more like a FF issue than Blue's...

It nailed me as the only:

You Are Likely an Only Child

At your darkest moments, you feel frustrated.
At work and school, you do best when you're organizing.
When you love someone, you tend to worry about them.

In friendship, you are emotional and sympathetic.
Your ideal careers are: radio announcer, finance, teaching, ministry, and management.
You will leave your mark on the world with organizational leadership, maybe as the author of self-help books.

The friendship one is off a bit (extreme copassion coupled with cold analyzation,) career is iffy (open to finance, great at management, could care lessa bout the others,) and I seriously doubt you will ever be reading a book of mine.

Missing my daily viewing of ATHF :(,
Ray Harvey Birdman...for the loss!

Forth (sic!) Born here too, and I am first born out of two (or so I'm told at least).

when your analyzing

I don't think the person who did the test is to be trusted with too complicated things such as spelling and making tests...

edit: I guess the test is correct in that I am born forth, though.

oh wow:

You Are Likely A Forth Born
At your darkest moments, you feel angry.
At work and school, you do best when your analyzing.
When you love someone, you tend to be very giving.

In friendship, you don't take the initiative in reaching out.
Your ideal jobs are: factory jobs, comedy, and dentistry.
You will leave your mark on the world with your own personal philosophy.

Not only am I first born (out of 3), every single trait (except the friendship one) is so far from the truth.

It correctly indicated my position as a fourth child. Its probably just a coincidence, but it was still kind of freaky for a few seconds.
