The issue at hand probably has nothing to do with games, other than the fact that they are a ready-made scapegoat.
The real issue here is probably this: Jack Thompson is not a very good attorney and believes that if he attaches to something of controversy, it will make him great.
But it isn't working.
Thank God he isn't a good attorney.

Fuck Jack Thompson sounds like an 8 year old who runs and tells mommy everytime something happens that he doesn't like. What PA wrote on that cheque wasn't harassment in any way. The bully got OWNED and he doesn't like it. Tough shit.

It certainly was a content-free blurb. Wired is just a catalogue for rich gadget-freaks now.

True. But, if you read the article, it is kind of a pathetic artifle. Any of us would be able to come up with that story - a restating of the already known facts with little to no insight.
What great and insightful reporting. Good thing they have such ground-breaking writers working for them.
Wired is a rag.

| you know, i could care less about the whole situation (please dont flame this into a "how can you not care" or something trivial), but this (article/situation) just sounds like it was meant to be. Thank (your Deity of choice) for the 1st amendment... |
