Aurora Watching: Gorky Zero English Demo

An English-language demo for Aurora Watching: Gorky Zero is now available, offering the opportunity to sample a translated/subtitled edition of Metropolis Software's third-person action sequel. The demo surfaced over the summer to little notice, but was discovered by 3D Gamers, where the 158 MB download can be found. The demo is also mirrored on FileFront and Strategy Informer.

It basically is The Thing trying to be a Metal Gear Solid or Kill Zone. But really, if just a few things were fixed (first-person view, ability to shoot through windows, loosen up the animation/gun play/camera) and you would have a pretty good game. Never great, but definitely pretty good.

For one of those "Small, just uncovered foreign demos," it certainly is much, much more than what you would normally expect.
I'm not nuts, I swear! Well, not about this, I mean!
Shrugging,
Ray

C'mon now Ray.
A demo, that is less than 200MB, and lasts more than 5 minutes?

Blasphemy!

I played the first Gorky, though it seemed to stiff at the time. Interesting plot though.

Now if only S.T.A.L.K.E.R. would come out......

...wonder why they did not do more for this. With just a few small tweaks, it could have been a really good game. It is certainly a very competent one.

Nothing amazing, but worth the download if you are bored.
Too rough as is, but could have been a fun one with some changes.
Liking it for being a demo that runs longer than five minutes :o,
Ray
