I can't tell if SkullCracker's post is in jest or not. Either way he'd make a good poster boy for a retroactive abortion campaign.

I still play it once in awhile, the stutters only kill you if you are flying because it tries to load dozens of player objects at once. You can negate this by reducing the number of objects the game loads, however this settings must be changed outside of the game.

It's still a very fun game though. There's nothing like being on the receiving end of 10 german tanks while you man your pea shooting anti tank gun.

You on all the time? Lets not call ppl a liar unless you are sure. They didnt say at one time did they? They are probably talking about in game numbers. Calling someone a liar isnt nice. We should consider other peoples feelings before we speak. You like being called a liar? How about noob? You like being called that? Or worse yet, retard. Hey retard, stop calling people a liar. See it isnt polite and I don't think you like being called names either:)

It is real easy calling people names online. Lets not be a punk or a sissy that only can do it with his keyboard. :0)

"Sure your smart!!!Your just not letting anyone know!!?!

I used to play once a year when they had the welcome back soldier program to try it out for free for a week. Then they stopped sending emails about it, probably because I wasn't resubing. I did try the free play for a week recently when it was offered, but I found it was more difficult to jump into the action.

The brigade spawning actually makes it more diffcult to see the overall battle on the map. If you pick what is listed as the recommended mission, you can still end up in a ghost town. I liked the ability to be able to look at the large map, see the locations where battles were taking place at the front, and spawn there. The map is still there, but it's not as easy to see the big picture. It's set up now to cater to the regulars and high ranking players who control the direction of battle, which I suppose is to be expected (they are, after all, the people who have been supporting the game). It also means new players and past players will likely feel like they're out of the loop. If you play this, you'll need to find a squad to join, even moreso than before.

Join thousands of players

LOL what a bold-faced lie. It's more like several hundred at any given time you log on. WW2OL has gotten better over the years since it's day one abortion of a launch but it's still a bug ridden poorly performing mess of a game. You can have an beefy Athlon64 machine with SLI but you'll still experience frame rates in the low 20's to upper teens in thick battles. The game engine is so old and rickety that the devs themselves recommend running the .exe in 'NT Compatibility' mode to reduce the amount of stuttering - and believe me if you like to fly those stutters can ruin your whole day.

Anyway my advice is to try it yourself and make your own decision on whether or not it's worth the 15 bucks per month.
