GTA: San Andreas Patches -- Hot Coffee on Ice

As promised, patches are now available to update Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to version 1.01, adding HDTV support and some bug fixes while also removing the ability to use the notorious Hot Coffee modification. There are patches for the US, Euro/Aussie, and German editions of the game, available, in case there was any doubt, on No More Hot Coffee. One or more of the patches are mirrored on 3D Gamers, FileFront, Gameguru Mania, Gamer's Hell, games xtreme, VGPro, and Worthplaying.

It would've been nice if they 86'ed the zoom-n-pan thing the camera does when you exit a vehicle that causes you to run right back into the burning car you're fleeing.

Sorry Fantaz but that's like having the same in The Sims 1/2 or Morrowind, only reason it's done is cause some 15 year old has access to a modeling program and something to proove. In no way does it add to the gameplay or the game at all except for the fact that it was done to be done. These are the gamers that should be seen by a state certified shrink.

The modders should really get together and do a serious hot coffee mod! You can easily make better models with penis and genitalia. A lot more you can add. Are they working on this or what?

The sound bug is fixed? That's good...

Now, about the "Cannot work out at gym" bug that has been plaguing me for a couple of weeks of play...

Dammit, they patch this thing and they only patch a couple of the showstoppers? what about all the gameplay bugs? the gym!? the basketball!

*grumble*

After uninstalling game, REinstalling, verifying the game works, then patching, and now it doesnt I did some reading. One of the reasons they state is that My DVD rom may not be compatible with their security check. The game works fine unpatched with the DVD in the drive, and doesn't work patched with the DVD in the drive.. It's not my Drive, it's their F'N patch. Move along, stupid idiots.. it's all their fault for leaving this crap in the original anyways, and if it weren't such a fn good game, I would delete it instantly. Bring on the no cd 1.01 so I can play it please.

There is a postcard here in florida with a 400lbs+ nakkid women on a beach with a beach ball that says 'Having a Ball!'. I will never forget that postcard, and due to my 'friend' sending me that card I am always on the lookout for something more disturbing. Not to mention all the black eyes people with Dolly Parton sized implants must get if they ever go jogging or fall down.
So yes, a pair of tits can hurt someone, and cause them horrible nightmares *shivers*

And honestly 3d models of nakkid women just don't do it for me. It's like the whole Lara Croft thing, and guys who beat off to Night Elfs in WoW. It's sad.

But the DVD streaming and Noise crackling are enough to get me to install the patch.

if naked, low-res 3d models really turns you on, then you really do need to stay away from video games.

Ok, I never cared for this Hot Coffee mod, and think it has been blown way out of proportion.. After all , the game was rated Mature... a little bit of animated love making and its all the sudden a bad game..

I installed this patch to an unmodified version of GTA SA and went to start it up... this error message i got...

The Original disk can not be found or Authenticated.

WTF.. The Original Disk is in my DVD drive where it was when I was playing it an hour before installing this stupid fn patch.

Thanks R*, now I have to reinstall the game with the bugs, may as well throw in the Hot Coffee mod too since I can't upgrade.

It seems plausable the extent to which relatively traditional advertising-orientated media (newspapers and TV) are quick to deride computer games is linked to the various reports stating how a key advertising target group are switching their leasure time from TV to gaming. Websites seem generally far less inclined to have a go, but then gamers make a significant part of their readership. Jack Thomson has merely found a niche for business and publicity (wether for self or business is undeterminable).

I'm sure people have said it before in other threads, but this whole thing is just ridiculous.

Much as this seems to be a statement worthy of Captain Obvious, there seems to be rather a lot of people who havent caught on; so I've repeated it in the vain hope of it being worthwhile.

Is there really anything more that need's to be said about this?

Yes. There's no reason for you to use an apostrophe in the word 'needs'.

Let's see how long it's going to take now before someone comes up with a mod that puts the hot coffee back into the game...

The art is available, the scripts are available, this is a highly modable game... tonight, tomorrow?

And let's see how R* will explain the subtle difference between the original hot coffee patch and the next one. "But this is completely different. This time they had to supply the sexy bits!"

- Issue on all machines where certain collisions caused parts of the audio system to crash (sound effects, cutscene audio - only radio keeps going) - users know this as "Rain / Thunderstorm bug".
Bingo.
- Improvements to DVD streaming.
And bingo!

Cheers UberN.
