wow! if the game has even HALF that amount of AI it'll be 10x more than anything on the market now.
such "Emergent Behavior" was the holy grail eagerly pursued in games 15-20 years ago when books like "Gödel, Escher and Bach" and stuff like Cellular Automata were hot topics among game programmers (ahh the good old days), then it was largely abandoned in favor of more easily programmed eye candy.
"John Conway's Game of Life" is still a fascinating example of how complex behavior can emerge from a few simple rules. http://www.bitstorm.org/gameoflife/ (Java required)

I think you mean previewer, but most "suck a mean cock" as you so eloquently put it. Otherwise they don't get no lub from publishers (free final copies to test, preview copies, etc.).

I'm just as excited for it as the next fan, but I swear to god if I hear that "set the dog on fire" story one more time...

i thought this game(Oblivion) is far from finished. It had always been my impression that it was going to be a launch title for the 360, it could always slip though.

Looks like end of 2005 (December maybe?) or early 2006 at this point. I'd say they should be kicking it into gear right about now.

Holy Jeebus. The Elder Scrolls IV sounds most amazing. I hope machine will be able to handle it and that it makes it here in a reasonable amount of time.
