I haven't had much trouble with lag and other issues some folks have mentioned in association with playing on ranked Battlefield 2 servers. Sometimes I wish I did though, as it would provide an excuse. I decided to get in a brief match before bed last night to try and push a little further on the seemingly endless path to PFC. I managed to pick up a pair of teamkills in a few minutes, doubling my previous record set over much longer spans, and ended the evening with a score of negative-8. At that pace, not only will I never get promoted... I may get a court martial.
