New NVIDIA ForceWare Drivers

This NVIDIA Drivers Page (thanks Frans) now offers new version 77.72 "WHQL Candidate" reference drivers for their GeForce video cards, incorporating, among other things, support for GeForce 7800 GTX and GeForce 6200 AGP cards.

As for nVidia - if I install their nForce IDE drivers my computer suddenly takes 2 minutes to boot (hangs on the XP loading screen for ages); this happens in both XP and XPx64 and on multiple motherboards (nForce 1,2,3 and 4).

Wait wait...you are getting a hang at the Windows XP loading screen? Tell me, does is hang before or during the display of the logo with the cycling blue bar at the bottom? My machine has been doing this for months and I've been trying to figure it out. I actually have my hard disks on a seperate RAID controller, but I did install the nVIDIA IDE driver to get better performance out of my DVD writer. Did just removing the driver fix the problem for you?
