The Battlefield 2 Demo dedicated server for Windows is now available, offering the chance for server operators to run their own theater in the modern combat shooter sample. The Windows server was to be accompanied by a Linux server, but there was some sort of glitch with that, so it's now expected next week. The 38 MB download is available on the EA Games Website, and mirrored on 3D Gamers, Computer Games (Romania), FZ.se, Gameguru Mania, Gamer's Hell, and Worthplaying.
