Looks like they took it down, cuz I'm not seeing it there. I'm pulling from CNET and my speed is steadily growing slower and slower ... at 85k right now.

Ok, the games play great on my 6800GT at 1280x1024 but as I feared this is just like the DC mod only with better graphix.

The soldiers move almost exactly the same and it seems to use the same shitty netcode as well. I find this as a disappointment since I play CS all the time, my ideal online FPS.

Not mention there are weird bugs with the vehicles. My soldier flying with no helicopter, wtf?

I didn't know EA was hosting it yet.

They aren't; not on that page at least.

17. Re: Video card question Jun 10, 2005, 16:21 Jow

Well, it's not just for the demo... obviously I'd need it for the full game too. 'sjust that gaming has been extra slow for me for most of this year and now that something I'm actually interested in is coming out... the idea that I can't play it cus it won't run on my card is completely unacceptable.

I ask this because I'm prepared to run somewhere retail and snag a new card at this point if that's what it takes to play. Just need to know.

Seriously, you're prepared to buy a new video card for a demo? Man, you are hardcore.

I didn't know EA was hosting it yet. That's cool cause I know they pump a lot of bandwidth into that server.

14. Video card question Jun 10, 2005, 16:17 Jow

I know no one's played it yet, but can anyone confirm or deny that I will or won't be able to run this thing with my old Geforce 4 ti4400? I've seen listings of the supported cards and know that you need pixel shaders 1.4 to run this, but is it gonna prevent me from running it altogether or just make it not look as good?

I ask this because I'm prepared to run somewhere retail and snag a new card at this point if that's what it takes to play. Just need to know.

I'm using GetRight with 4 segment downloading, but yeah, it isn't working as the server seem to be restricted to one slot per user. Understable of course.
