Ships Ahoy - Madagascar

Activision's Madagascar(TM) The Game Stampedes Into Retail Stores Nationwide (thanks GamerCentric) announces the availability of Madagascar, the cross-platform game based on the new animated film of the same name. Word is: "Enter the hilarious world of four zany New York zoo animals in DreamWorks Animation's Madagascar(TM) The Game from Activision, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATVI - News). Based on the highly anticipated feature film, Madagascar The Game lets players discover their true animal instincts when an adventurous journey lands them on the remote island of Madagascar. Gamers must master each animal's individual survival skills in order to tackle obstacles and foes in scenarios from the movie and beyond."

If this movie brings in less than $200 or $250 million Hollywood will begin panicking.

Here's hoping.

Didn't know about this as a film. Actually I usually just skim over the non fps stuff in here, but I saw the 'car' on the end of Madagascar and for some reason got the idea that it was a driving game where you got points for running over different kinds of animals.
From reading thru the post, however I find that it is not.
A good concept for Running With Scissors to consider though.

...as the vultures make a mad rush to capitalize off any new movie license they can get their grubby paws on. Nevermind trying to make a good game or anything.

I'm sure there are a handful of parents that might be interested in this game for their kids..

Hey man, this game will be better than Half-Life 2, Doom 3, Halo 2, Jade Empire and all the next-generation launch titles combined! I mean, it's based on a MOVIE!

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Announcing it here just makes you look like a corporate shill if you ask me.

That's a slippery slope, when you choose to publish some news and not others.

Because it is a game, and this is a gaming website.

It's a simple movie tie-in game of dubious quality. Announcing it here just makes you look like a corporate shill if you ask me.
