Hey, does anyone know where one can find this game in Canada? I checked my usual online places as well as Amazon.ca and they don't list it. Does EB Games carry this (shudder?)

I don't like the heavy car because it's not what trackmania is / was about for me. If I wanted to play a racing game with a heavy technical car, I'd fire up GT4 and do Nurburg with a high powered, high weight BMW.

Are you aware that they've completely dropped support for the game? As in, no patches, no nothing. Yeah, I knew that going in. It's just that I went into Best Buy with a $20 gift certificate in my hand and just felt like coming home with a new game. I thought the demo was fun enough. To me there just isn't anything else in FPS gaming that is as satisfying as disking an airborne enemy while flying the other direction - it reminds me of throwing a perfect long bomb in football.
Heh, I would've sold you my copy for $10. Hey, that's what we need - The Blue's News Classifieds!

Oh well, picked up Tribes Vengeance for $19.99 and am already having fun with the single player campaign. Heh, I would've sold you my copy for $10. Are you aware that they've completely dropped support for the game? As in, no patches, no nothing. It's as dead as a dead thing that's dead. (Even T1 has more players now, and at least I can still play that properly. ;))

"Stunts was absolutely badass. I had to run that game off 3.5" floppy disk because I was on an old 286-20 with an organse plasma screen and I played it until the disk was worn right out"
I remember loving this one in the arcades, does anyone know if there is an abandonware version floating around? |

This is more insane than Stunts (wasn't that also on the Megadrive) and well lets just say, the designers of the courses leave a few subtle things here and there in a track that you find out by accident and think "Holy shit that rocks!" Stunts was absolutely badass. I had to run that game off 3.5" floppy disk because I was on an old 286-20 with an organse plasma screen and I played it until the disk was worn right out. Despite the StarForce, I will have to check this one out...

But to come back to starforce, people questioning the protection is a legit action. Starforce is known to be the most incompatible protection scheme arround, and the people who ran into trouble with it before, have a right to know if they are gonna run into it again. Not to mention that StarForce installs device drivers on your system without your knowledge or permission and has "phone home" capabilities that can be used. In other words, it's spyware!

Probably the best level that i've come across so far is the game's test course for graphics settings etc. You get to do a corkscrew over water and so many other nice little things in it. I love it. Which reminds me, i need to re-install it now.

I knew it!
There is someone that liked Tribes: Vengeance...
Stunts... now there was a game... Two great fun things in that game... straightaways with sharp corners you could take at full speed, and hitting accelerate just as you leave a ramp and rocketing up in the air at full speed ; )

god shut up about the fucking Starforce jesus christ man I find it funny to see how far people have come to accepting DRM in games. In other formats (music/movies/broadcast bit/etc) whole wars are being waged, while in the games industry DRM has always been (pretty much) accepted. It would be interesting to see why, i think i comes from the fact that copy protection for most people always has been present in games, and most games have a relatively short life span (1 month of playing, and it's collecting dust again, so no need for a life long copy/backups).
But to come back to starforce, people questioning the protection is a legit action. Starforce is known to be the most incompatible protection scheme arround, and the people who ran into trouble with it before, have a right to know if they are gonna run into it again.

Heh, just yesterday I was at Best Buy pestering the sales dude to help me find this game. I thought it came out weeks ago - must have just gone gold or shipped in Europe or something.
