Delta Force: Reloaded

Sierra Entertainment announces plans for Delta Force: Reloaded (thanks Frans), what sounds like a repackaged version of the original Delta Force, all de-voxeled thanks to a conversion to NovaLogic's Black Hawk Down game engine:

The game that started it all is back and badder than ever! Graphically enhanced and developed with NovaLogic’s latest game engine, Delta Force®: RELOADED not only enhances a proven winner, but ads to it, offering seasoned Delta Force fanatics and FPS fans new to the franchise, a fresh prospective on the game that broke the mold in modern combat FPS games.

Over 70* levels of combat to test your CQB and long range engagement skills as a Delta Force Operator.

*Features are known to be correct at time of printing and are subject to change.

You know selling dlc before you patch the client doesn't impress upon me the need to support your shit. -massdev

Nova Logic is notorious for never fixing their games.

Best part was the voxel engine, real grass for cover, destroyable trees and buildings, large areas and good netcode(24 players played fine with 33.6k modem!).

Now grass is todays game IS A JOKE.

To me the worst thing about DF was the crappy AI. It ranged between being completely oblivious to your presense... to being able to track you through textures and shoot you the instance you broke cover.

Like Joint Ops the Coop was tarnished by AI that cheats... tracking you through textures. They love to code the enemy AI placements behind most 50 caliber guns that way in Joint Ops.

Only good thing about it is they give away their location by shooting at you before you are even visible... reminds me of the old bots from the early Quake DM days.

Voxel's were the best part of that game, until all the hacks it was the funnest online fps I've played. Too bad Black Hawk Down was one of the worst.

Delta Force was moderately cool back in '98 but man the gameplay just won't be able to hold up today.
