That's in today's tech bits already.

| Dimebag used to write an article in Guitar World (or Guitar School) magazine. I never could play guitar worth half a crap, but his articles were nevertheless inspiring, not to mention hilarious. I always have a Pantera CD in the car, so today I'll fire it up! Hope my stock Hyundai stereo can handle the beating I'm about to administer . . . |

I don't really see how this is anything new. As a young grad student in the Mojave there were several documented case where the sands just made people "disappear". In fact a colleague's wife just vanished one morning. She just walk off by herself and was never seen again. Tragically weird.

Pantera... |

I've never been a huge fan of Pantera either, but I own their Cowboys from Hell album. Many of my music tastes are products of the long-haired rock bands of the 80's and 90's. Though I've gone away from that music, I've recently started to listen to it again. No metal-head I, but damn I used to love that music.
For some reason, this news struck me really hard this morning. Perhaps it's because the shooting is so senseless, perhaps because Dimebag was about my age. Images of Randy Rhodes and Stevie Ray Vaughan are swimming through my mind.
What a horrible tragedy for everyone.

My daughter loves watching Tintin - I don't think I have the courage to tell her he's brain-damaged.

When I first looked at the news this AM, they were reporting a BAND named Dimebag, which I'd never heard of. Then by the time I got to work, they'd corrected it, listing Dimebag Darrell.
Never a Pantera fan, but it's still sad. People go to concerts to have a good time and see a band they like, yet there's always some asshole who has to try and f$%* it up for everyone ...

RollinThundr Apr 17, 2013, 12:25: Eh really tossing stuff like that in there only to get your panties all bunched up. If you really want to call that trolling sure.
Mr. Tact Apr 17, 2013, 12:33: Pretty sure that's the definition of trolling... |
