Remember I joked how it may have been an act of cruelty to watch the Giants game with the older Smurf when we were babysitting? Well obviously it was, and yesterday I got a phone call from him because he was in tears over the outcome of the game... it will take him a while to learn that losing is part of the game in sports. Of course I was in tears too, so I'm probably not the one to teach this lesson.

Kinko’s! (Or some other copying location) Better check with the powers that be at your University first. I know that where I went (Georgia Tech) if you were a prof/TA/instructor and wanted to use your own materials that you had to submit them to the University's copying/printing shop and tell them how many copies they should print for the upcoming quarter/semester. And most profs lowballed it -- because they got stuck for any over printing. As a student it was generally cheaper than a real book, not as cheap as a off-campus printing service, and a serious screw if your prof lowballed the number and you weren't one of the first people there -- the wait for printing additional copies was anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks IIRC. Dunno if that's the way it still is, or if it's even applicable for you, but it's something to be aware of. I'd guess there are nasty repercussions for not using the service, if it is there.
