Out of the Blue

Remember I joked how it may have been an act of cruelty to watch the Giants game with the older Smurf when we were babysitting? Well obviously it was, and yesterday I got a phone call from him because he was in tears over the outcome of the game... it will take him a while to learn that losing is part of the game in sports. Of course I was in tears too, so I'm probably not the one to teach this lesson.

"The people that are good seemed to have figured out some magic CS bullet physics as they were very precise in their shots. Yes I could be right behind someone and unload a whole clip and watch the turn around and get a head shot. Seemed a little peculiar."

I'm done with CS:S only because I want some good new maps to play on first, but we will soon see (Thank God!) server admin mods so the fucktards can be voted off the island. As for headshots, you have to practice with different levels of lag and therefore lead. In otherwords, with a ping of under 70 you aim at the head, but with higher latency you actually have to aim behind where the head currently is, because the hitboxes lag behind the players for hit-detection. Also, people just do go on runs where they get 10-15 headshots in a row, but then miss everything for the next hour. It seems to be the nature of the game. Most FPS games these days use a far too random spread for the first shot, I think if you are standing still you should always be able to put that first shot where you are aiming. Of course, the lagging hit-boxes makes this even worse. I'm waiting for an iron-sights HL2 mod...
