I have been debating whether to pick this up or not, but judging from the amount of problems people are having with it, I think I'll give it a miss. While my system runs most things flawlessly, I do usually seem to be in a boat where games with graphics glitches are concerned, and it seems that that is a major issue in Bloodlines.
I have to agree when it is said that Troika makes great game concepts, but apparently lack the programming skill to make it all work. Arcanum was an enjoyable, but flawed RPG. ToEE was a massive charlie foxtrot, and it seems Bloodlines is apparently even more flawed.
I hope they will at least get the funding and time required to do this patch properly. They basically made the ToEE patch for free, IIRC, and that never leads to quality work.
Some random comments :
Hebrew_National : Redemption was made by Nihilistic, not Troika. You seemed to indicate that Redemption was made by Troika? Troika's made Arcanum, Temple of Elemental Evil and Bloodlines. Nihilistic's only made Redemption, although they are working on Starcraft Ghost.
Darth Vile : Stop being a moron. Just because YOU don't have problems doesn't mean someone else should not have any either. Be glad you don't suffer any of the issues other people mentioned, and stop wacking off on how cool and optimized your PC is. I'm willing to bet that approximately 50% of the people on this board know about a dozen times more about computers than you do. It's not always the fault of unoptimized / non up to date computers. Some hardware combinations just don't work all that great with certain games.
Cheese : Please try to become a bit more coherent. Nobody has a fucking clue what you are saying. You're turning into a more annoying version of the fredster. At least the fredster was funny every now and then.
