However, there are specific points where it seems to do a mini-load where the sound will skip a beat for just a second. These "mini" ones have all happened when something new crops up - the new ship appears, the triggered attack sequence happens, the wall is blown open, etc. Excluding these big and "mini" loads, everything else is perfectly fineI think you'll find this is caused by the game auto-saving.
