Gold - Full Spectrum Warrior

Take Cover! Full Spectrum Warrior PC Goes Gold is the press release announcing the completion of the PC edition of Pandemic Studios' tactical military action game that was originally designed as a light infantry simulator for the U.S. Army (thanks Frans). Here's word on the game, which is due to mobilize on the 20th:

CALABASAS HILLS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 9, 2004--THQ® Inc. today announced that Full Spectrum Warrior™ PC has reached the gold master stage of development and is entering manufacturing. Based on a light infantry-training simulator designed by Pandemic Studios for the U.S. Army as a tool to reinforce Army combat doctrine and squad tactics among troops, Full Spectrum Warrior is scheduled to begin shipping to retailers worldwide on September 20, 2004(a).

"Full Spectrum Warrior is an original, tactical-action military game that simulates the experience of squad command in the highly charged atmosphere of urban warfare," said Josh Resnick, president, Pandemic Studios. "With the critical and sales success of the Xbox version launched earlier this summer, we are pleased to present the intense, tactical-action experience to PC player's worldwide."

Developed on a parallel path with the Xbox version, the PC version of Full Spectrum Warrior includes a number of game enhancements and features specific to the PC version -- including 2 Bonus Levels, enhanced texture and graphic resolution and an intuitive keyboard/mouse control scheme that has been optimized for PC gamers.

For more information on Full Spectrum Warrior PC, please visit www.fullspectrumwarrior.com.

(a) The Full Spectrum Warrior game is not sponsored or endorsed by the United States Army.

All day and no post about how this game is Fascist Propaganda designed to brainwash America's youth into providing the means for Bush Hegemony? Come on, where the hell are our pinko commies/liberal wackos?

10. Tactics, It's all about the tactics... Sep 9, 2004, 21:31 Paranoid Jack

I ahve been eager to play this one for a year or so. I loved Ghost Recon and since GR2 looks like ass and most like will be I am hoping this game will fill the void. At least until BF2.

I love tactical combat games. And if you just look at the suface I guess it is "move to cover, give cover for rest of team, move up to more cover" but that should be a blast to play also... after all that is what the game is all about.

I heard from the xbox version that it's insanely repetitive. Move to cover, give cover for rest of team, move up to more cover, repeat a thousand times. I guess that's how they actually do it though.

The immersive environments prevent that feeling from setting in. Plus choosing when to haul ass versus sitting pretty.

...you could have just kept your opinion to yourself.

LOL the comment section is for posting comments! This means people can come in here and say the game looks like it will be incredible or bash the game! I can see how the guys comments can bother you since the PC version is not out yet and it's impossible to review a game just by looking at screenshots.

Bottom line, unless this site based in a communist country everyone can voice their opinions, comments, jokes whatever. This is the internet, and we are in gaming site so don't expect a case study on the pros and cons of 3rd person gaming!

Is this game supporting any other kind of multiplayer for the PC besides co-op? Checked the site and says "Xbox Live Enabled"

Only hint of PC MP is coop. Please tell me this game will have a robust MP component!

Is that another way of saying you don't enjoy games that are 3rd person? Because if so...you could have just kept your opinion to yourself. You don't even know how polished the gameplay is...
