(Nasdaq: ATVI) announced today that gamers will be able to battle it out mano a mano against Kornelia - the famous top-ranked professional gamer, in the DOOM 3(tm) Kornelia FragFest at this year's QuakeCon 2004. Sponsored by Alienware®, the contest takes id Software's recently released sci-fi horror masterpiece, DOOM 3, and pits gamers against Kornelia in deathmatch mode for the chance to win a handful of prizes including an Alienware Area-51m performance notebook computer. The one-day fragfest will take place Friday, August 13." Of course mano a mano means hand-to-hand, but I doubt Kornelia is actually planning on having any fistfights on the convention floor.
