Ok, here is a new one for 'ya, Stephen.
I had yet another person e-mail me yesterday about my "broken" link to the DVD AF site. I thought this wsa strange, if not annoying, because I could have sworn that I fixed the link.
In fact, I had.
Previously, I was using a URL that, while showing my sub-folders, was not a link that you could just click on; you had to either cut and paste it into your browser or log into the DVD AF site:
http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=ray_marden
Due to the noted problems, I ended up just removing my sub-folders and using the link that took people directl to my "Owned" folder. This link does that and is something that people can directly click on to view my DVDs without having to log in:
http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=ray_marden
However, this is not working on Blue's; the site is actually changing the URL on its own. When logging into the account options and checking out the URL in my sig, I get the following URL (which I will directly cut and paste right now for verfiication:)
http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=ray_marden
But, if you look through my post history, it is not showing up that way. For a brand new post, Blue's site will arbitrarily change the URL back to the problematic version:
http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=ray_marden
Yet, note that is not completely consistent with my post history. The moment I edit a post for any reason, the site changes the URL to what is actually shown in my account profile:
http://www.dvdaficionado.com/dvds.html?cat=1&id=ray_marden
In short, I would like to ask "What the heck?"  Presuming you do not have direct access to my account, Stephen, I can e-mail you my login and password so you can personally verify this. Also, I will post an attached comment to this, editing it so you can see what I am talking about.
Stephen, have you simply signed an exclusivity deal with Snide's Guzzlefish site?
