most of the missle shots have been of the revenant DOH! You are totally right...I can see two down the stairs where the missle came from. Those stairs must be a critical access to have two of those there.
Yeah, I agree about the Arch-Vile. Every other monster we can duck and cover, but that Arch-Vile can cause damage even if it can't see you...the only way to stop it is to disrupt it's spell casting with a rocket or steady fire, or kill it before it's spell is released. Hehe...found a site that is using an updated version of teh Arch-Vile in it's original Doom monster page: http://www.blakertee.4t.com/photo2.html
It appears that you are not the only one who considers this demon to be worthy of special treatment. It's also fast moving...and don't forget, it can resurect most other demons...at least in the original it could. |

Here's a suggestion, ditch the video card, the MX series of GeForce are no good any more. Any more? Who are you kidding? They never were any good. The GF3s were better than the GF4 MXs.
what would you suggest? I am going to see if i can upgrade my chip as well. Depends how much you are willing to spend.

CreamyBlood, you amaze me. Now that your bs-switch is in the off position you actually have good points I thought there were some coherent thoughts in your earlier posts but they were buried in so much flamy bs you were just irritating me (maybe it's that cheap american beer you mention somewhere else) Now you've pleasantly surprised me by showing you have more than 3 braincells (who knows, there might be hope for humanity afterall) Moreover, I totally agree with you.
But I would like to add that gaming engines have been licenced since at least the original doom (hexen, anyone?) The hot engines just aren't freeware, they cost you about $ 1,000,000 plus royalties which I guess is fair if you've spend 4 years developing the damned thing.
I can see some future modularization in 3d models though. Filmstudios don't usually build cars for movies, they rent or buy them. I can see this happening in future games. It would give the gamestudio more time to do the creative stuff, doing set design and designing the mood of their world instead of that chair in the corner. But I guess this is also already happening to some degree.
I too can't wait for global userprefs, sounds great.

You are gonna see mods for DOOM3 faster than any other game in the history of... gaming.
The alpha that was leaked by ATI has been ripped open and its guts exposed to many die hard fans over at www.doom3world.org.
The editor is built into DOOM3 executable, so when you load doom3, bring up the console and type, "editor" to load it.
Also, a lot of the game is text data driven so mod authors don't have to use C++ code to make a mod, they can instead edit a few lines in an ascii text file and boom, the changes are made.

Hey, that's what I'm here for, to put the fucknards into their place. I'm sorry if it offends you but if that sucks so much dick that homos fear him, its really not my problem. That bitch dissing Doom3 needs to be brought down like a prostitute hermaphrodite sucking your dick, ok? So if it offends you I'm sorry, but that fag is a piece of shit on the backside of a goatsee hero's asshole.

Liked the description Zeph gave...everything cept that last line of flame. Just watched the video a few times and I dont think the particle effects are THAT bad!I don't think they detract from the amazing graphics at all (blur effects helping alot). Reading Dude's post had me expecting the worst and now I see how overexaggereted his comments were. Although I can agree that the particle effects are not on par with the rest of the game's visuals. But hey, everyone's entitled to their own opinion.
The flaming that's going on here, in general, is really disgusting IMO. If you don't agree with someone's comment, say so WITHOUT personally attacking him like some pre-pubescent teen with "something to prove." And if they decide to flame YOU for your opinion, they're not worth a reply and their opinions are VOID. This site discusses some of the least serious issues you could think of and I just think alot of posts reflect the opposite. We're here to talk about GAMES!
