I've been using Win2K pretty much since it came out, and I'm perfectly happy with it. Win98 wasn't bad, but 2K is a lot more stable. I just installed the latest DirectX on my system, and realized that I haven't had to reboot in... weeks. It just keeps running.
I keep an old IBM Aptiva in the closet for my retro gaming fix. I rescued it off the trash heap. It has (I think) a P300 and 64 meg of RAM and an 8 gig HD, but it runs Win98 and those old games quite happily.
I'm sprawled across the davenport of despair. |
