Out of the Blue

I got the BlueTruck back from the shop... the new shocks have been installed, but DrWrench discovered another issue with the suspension, it seems that a connector on the rear sway bar had disconnected, a further explanation for its rough ride lately. The thing here is that this is the third noticeable issue of this sort that has gone undiagnosed by the local dealer where they perform my scheduled maintenance. Prior to missing the sway bar (which is hanging literally an inch from the shock they discovered was leaking), they also failed to notice any brake wear through several tire rotations and such until the brakes were irreparable and needed replacing, and they also missed a broken hose through at least one oil change that involved inspecting the hoses and belts. Strike three and they are out... I guess I can only blame myself for this, though, as there are certainly enough folks out there who will testify that the car dealer is probably not the place to go for repairs and maintenance. I guess I now qualify as one of them. Yeesh.

No, you didn't miss anything. I just happen to be a large star wars nerd. Large as in star wars, not as in girth. Anyway, I've read nearly all the books, and there are a few that talk about how Vaders body disappears and they just burn his suit. I think, and this is probably wrong, that they even say it in the Return of the Jedi book.

Ah. I thought maybe I'd missed something in the movie, or George had made another change. Interesting...

Forgive me for intruding, but I couldn't help but reply to your opinion.

After driving a '96 Taurus and a '93 Camry to work for 3 weeks each, I can safely say that the '93 Camry has better pickup and acceleration than the Taurus, has better handling, and while bigger, responds far better, though I find the grip to be looser. The Camry has a smoother ride, but the Taurus had less mechanical problems when I brought it to the shop. But what beats these two cars is my '88 Saab 9k, which would still be running if the transmission hadn't blown a few months back. Amazing handling, decent acceleration, and definitely tougher than the Taurus and Camry combined. I ran the thing with no motor oil for over 3 weeks and 200 miles, without doing any damage to the engine--but then Saab engines are legendary. Only problem was that the Saab cost me a fortune to maintain. Oh well.

All in all, I thought the Taurus was the worst car. It cost the least to maintain, but was the newest, with under 50K miles on it (hard to believe, but true), while the Saab died at over 200K and the Camry is at 150K.

Planning on buying Google stock?

Supposed to open between $100-$135 a share.

For what exactly? Do they pull in that much money in advertising? I've never clicked through one of their 'ads' in the results page.

Anyone?

I dont have any info but I would share your concern if I were buying. This just sounds too close to the dot.com "gold rush" mentality ("look! free money!") to me.

For Bronco (from theninhotline):

Blabbermouth reported on Danny Lohner's remixing of A Perfect Circle's entire Thirteenth Step album - his remix of The Outsider can be found on the upcoming Resident Evil: Apocalypse soundtrack, along with Danny's remix of Rob Zombie's Girl on Fire The remix album is due this coming November.

From Josh:
Vader disappears. It is only his body armor they burn at the end.

I haven't watched Jedi in awhile (and haven't seen the newest Lucastic cut, that I hear is leaked), but what makes you say this? Did I miss something?

The only thing I can figure is (and this is total Lucas BS at it's finest) until a Jedi completes training, they are granted this rite / learn this trick.

I think Vader does disappear, and you see his bio suit left (just like Obi’s robe).

Though, I suspect this was just error and changing of ideas from the two series.
But I suspect ultimate explanation will end up being, those who disappeared and reappeared sacrificed their selves for the light side of the force, granting them the right to “come back as ghosties”, the others just died (in cause of the light side, but not in sacrifice)
