Out of the Blue

I got the BlueTruck back from the shop... the new shocks have been installed, but DrWrench discovered another issue with the suspension, it seems that a connector on the rear sway bar had disconnected, a further explanation for its rough ride lately. The thing here is that this is the third noticeable issue of this sort that has gone undiagnosed by the local dealer where they perform my scheduled maintenance. Prior to missing the sway bar (which is hanging literally an inch from the shock they discovered was leaking), they also failed to notice any brake wear through several tire rotations and such until the brakes were irreparable and needed replacing, and they also missed a broken hose through at least one oil change that involved inspecting the hoses and belts. Strike three and they are out... I guess I can only blame myself for this, though, as there are certainly enough folks out there who will testify that the car dealer is probably not the place to go for repairs and maintenance. I guess I now qualify as one of them. Yeesh.

I vote for the elephant mainly because of my religious (pro-life) views.

Well you're a 1 issue voter.

Ahh anti-choice. Let me guess, you're pro-gun, pro-war, pro-death penalty, and anti-social programs, right?

What charisma! They a poll with him and Bush and he was 20 points over Bush. It's a shame he can't run again. Goddamn great speech though!

As for liberals complaining about rigged elections, you'll hear people complaining about a rigged election because the first one was rigged. And all indications are they're trying to do so again. Why is it you cons hate democracy and fairness so much? The re-election of Bush would pretty much kill the Union. You can bet that people will start talking secession. Bush the uniter, my ass!

We'll see. I've heard several republicans who already expect Kerry to win anyways.

I don't care what people say but I genuinely, really like Bill Clinton.

He always manages to captivate me. He's definately not perfect but he's smart, wants to help and is probably the best public speaker I have ever seen. Great speech tonight by him.

It will be interesting to see where we go in this election campaign after the conventions.

Lose it? I didn't lose it. It's not like, "Whoops! Where'd my job go?" I QUIT.

All I want to see is Bush gone.

Really? I hope he has a second term just so I can hear the liberals complain again about something. If Bush wins, there will be many people complaining about a rigged election, if Kerry wins you won't hear it.

Let him go tear up Phantom Menace. Nobody will miss that one.

Yeah it needs more Jar Jar Binks. Best Character in Star Wars IMO.

Why doesn't Lucas just remake the first 3 if he hates them so much. Sheesh.

Animated gif with 6 frames. I assure you it's real.

Damn! Hayden looks like he's about to laugh, and then ducks his head before returning with a semi-straight face...

HE'S supposed to be Vader?! I THINK NOT.

I'm pretty sure it's a hoax. I've seen those pictures a long time ago and heard many claim that it is Photoshopped and obvious. (I don't have the eye for that stuff)

Sorry bud but it's not a hoax. I captured those two screens myself from the xVid release. Even Cinescape.com has a news bit about it.

But really, people. You should all know enough not to trust anything you read on the internet. The internet is hoax-tastic.

I'm willing to bet those images came from the ROTJ dvd, which HAS been leaked.

Far Cry question for you guys: I'm 2/3rds of the way through the game. I have to rescue Val. I flood the chamber, swim up, take out Mr Rocket Launcher For Arms, kill 2 of the jumpy bastards, and go into the next room with Val. 1 jumpy bastard on the other side of the room - twice I've killed it, once I've let Val kill it, but no matter WHO kills it, the script breaks. Val just stands there with her gun drawn, and nothing else happens. I can't exit out the other door, and pushing Val around the room doesn't help either. I even hurded her out the door I came in, and nothing happens.

HELP!

Thank you!

Not the guy that is so confused trying to tell people what he thinks they want to hear.

Well, that's the game isn't it? They all do that. I think if we ever saw an honest politician (think Robert Redford in The Candidate) we'd collectively faint.

It's sort of funny, because than you see a hypocrite like Nader who bashes both parties (I don't have a problem with that) but willinging accepts help from the Republicans. I fully agree with Nader and his take on both parties, but he caved on his principals, so he's really not much better than the guys he's slamming.

All I want to see is Bush gone. Then I'd like to see a real big push for other parties - or more particularly, proportional representation - in 2008. The two party stranglehold needs to end, and real democracy needs to begin.

http://www.fairvote.org

PS: On a more personal note, Kerry's daughters aren't bad, but Gore's daughter was looking pretty smoking.

I really wish Lucas would stop messing around with the original movies. These are screens of two changes from the upcoming DVDs.

Great speech by Gore.

I wish Al would say what he really feels. Not some script written by god knows who.

He's at his best when he plays himself. The most genuine thing I've ever seen from him was his concession speech. That guy, the guy that truly spoke as a statesman - him I'd vote for. Not the guy that is so confused trying to tell people what he thinks they want to hear.

Shame.
