Now that I work for the Dept of Transportation and am out there when drivers pull that stupid shit, I say nail their asses with the maximum. People just don't realise the severity of their actions...especially teenagers.
Agreed. Fun or not, it's a 2000+ pound vehicle, and no one PLANS to have an accident. Other people could have hurt or killed because of their stupid games...
Now here's a question for the legal group: Assuming the guy with the camera didn't hand it over to the cops (and that's a big assumption, as he was dumb enough to tape his antics to begin with), the cops didn't have a right to search the vehicle (and view the camera's contents), correct?
Don't get me wrong, the whole group had it coming (and I'm glad they were busted), but I just wonder if he willingly handed the camera over, and if not, if the cops overstepped their boundaries.

too get this topic back on track, I think it's great that US auto makers are offering longer warranties and that their build quality is improving. That means better and safer cars, a stronger US economy, and all sorts of lovely things.
But I still think some imports are better, and even you agree with that. I love my Hondas (I own an Accord and a CR-V). Given my past experince with American cars, and my more recent experience with Hondas, it would take a massive amount of convincing to get me to even seriously look at an American car the next time I'm in the market for a new auto.
I travel on business a couple times each year, and I always get new American cars as rentals, and they just "feel" cheap to me, even brand new. Not to mention that I can't stand all of the idiot proof features, like headlights coming on by themselves (and staying on, even when I want them to go off), and that obnoxious horn honk then I lock the car with a keyless remote.
I gladly pay Honda 30-50% more than I would Ford or Chevy for a comparably equpped vehicle, because I know I won't have any problems with it. I would love even more to be able to say that about an American Car company, but it simply isn't true. I actually looked at the Ford Escape as an alternative the Honda CR-V when I was first looking at buying a small SUV. As soon as I saw that consumer reports showed the average annual maintenance costs of the Ford Escape in the $1200-$2000 range (depending on year) and the CR-V was in the $300-$400 range, I immediately dismised the Ford as an option.
I want a car I can drive and not worry about, and I'll pay more for that. Once the US auto makers figure that out, I'll buy from them, but until then, I'm sticking with Honda.

You know it's funny...it all depends on what side of the fence you're on nowadays.
Back when I was younger, I would have watched that video thinking "Oh come on, they were just having some fun..."

EVGA.com...I was surprised they had them. I'm in the same boat - while Far Cry will look slicker, the main attraction is D3.

How the mechanic at the dealer missed the broken sway hanging next to the shock is the part I still can't figure. You might look into how your warranty is worded. As one of the reasons of bringing it to a “dealer certified” mechanic / or the dealer it’s self is to notice these things, and avoid expensive repairs. You might be able to get this work paid for by the dealership/car company/warranty, or at least help pay for it, if they are not already (though replacing it with an Aftermarket product, they would not have to pay for, but the other parts and labor they can at least help!).
Though, your response did not let me say “You know, speed bumps mean you SLOW DOWN for them, not speed up”, how dare you take that away from me!
Though this is a prime example of a car/truck as a system of parts, and when one goes, even if not critical, FIX IT; as it makes other parts work harder.
