13. [Censored] Jul 8, 2004, 22:48 Kosumo

"It's based on the game. Where, without giving the movie away, I play the ultimate [censored]." Wow. The ultimate [censored]? "Yeah, it'll be great. But you don't know I'm [censored]. Without giving the movie away."

I think that the most likly thing that [censored] means is Cheese Cake, just think about it, who else would be able to bring to live the performace of a cheese cake kicking butt in hell?

also at the end the last 30 minutes is The Rock give people cooking lessons into what The Rock as been cooking for so long - Baked Beans and Onions!

Thinking Stephen should be Gordon Freeman in any HL movie

Oh, hell yeah! Someone needs to start a petition on THAT!

Isn't Vin a bit smaller than The Block Rock?

Either way, Vin's stock is down quite a bit these days. The Smock Rock certainly is not Hollywood gold, but I do believe he is still held as a (relatively) more valuable asset.

Vin Diesel would of been a better fit

At least Vin Diesel can act when needed (Knockaround Guys) and is a hardcore gamer with a Video game studio, so I think he'd know a bit about what Doom is.

The rock looks like Blue in that picture.

Whadda ya figure they're going a whole new direction and [censored] means "angel" or something like that? In which case it'd be more of a Requiem movie than Doom.
Maybe "android".
Well, we can always hope not.

Maybe he should have been banned from writing the article.

Good point. The poser.

In the article it reads:

Well, knock us down with a feather. If you're a gamer, and you haven't played or heard of Doom, then frankly you should be banned from going near a joypad ever again.

But that just seems dumb to me since everyone thinks of Doom having been on the PC and you used a keyboard to play it. Maybe he should have been banned from writing the article.

You mean where he stands there and raises an eyebrow at the camera every 5 minutes?

That's exactly what I mean. Bummer, man.

However, if the movie becomes a Rock vehicle filled with stupid "rock-isms" or cute tension-alleviating wisecracks, I think the overall impact will be negative.

Yeah, we're screwed...

HOLY FUCK WE'RE SCREWED

Now, not that I had any hopes for Doom, but where is Blizzard with a CGI based movie on one of their franchises? I would spooge in my pants.

Warcraft 3 and Diablo 2, a lonely nation turns its eyes to you. Zug Zug Zug.

1. Rock to Doom? Jul 8, 2004, 10:47 ZigZang

I think having a well known personality involved in the Doom movie is overall a good thing. However, if the movie becomes a Rock vehicle filled with stupid "rock-isms" or cute tension-alleviating wisecracks, I think the overall impact will be negative. I don't want to hear "Smell what I'm cooking" as cyberdemons are wasted. The space marine should be silent (or nearly so), just like in the game.
