Thief Demo Today

The Eidos Forums now feature several posts outlining plans for an upcoming demo for Thief: Deadly Shadows, the newly released follow-up to the stealthy adventures of Garrett the master thief. The posts are summarized on Thief: The Circle, where they note the approximately 450 MB demo should be available around midday today, west coast time. Thanks Frans.

My current rig = 1.7GHz proc, 512 RAM, Gef4 TI4200 128Meg vid, ATA100 HD. I could run XP no problem, I simply don't feel the need to shell out a few hundred bucks for XP currently. If Bill is so concerned about people upgrading, he should get more aggressive on his price point...like he did in Asia.

As for the Steam survey that's hardly representative of gamers at large. Steam sucks anyway, and there are millions more gamers still using 98SE. Even using that survey alone that's still 60,000 SE users which translates into over 2 million dollars in potential sales lost right there.

It just seems ludicrous they'd develop it for the XBOX with its shitty specs and not 98.
