I think expansion packs suck. Games with the same themes like Vietnam or WW2 never get boring unless they're expansion packs.
Remember people, WW2 was the last great conventional war. It had it all. Wars nowadays are unpersonal and computerized... Bleh. They just dont make fun games.

I'm pretty sure it was about Men of Valor, which is the first thing mentioned in the news blurp.
This Sierra Entertainment Downloads Page features the E3 trailer for Men of Valor, 2015's upcoming Vietnam War-themed shooter.

The original poster was (presumably) talking about JO:TR -- which isn't strictly a Vietnam War game, since it's set in "near future" Indonesia, instead of late-1960s/early-70s Indonesia. Yeah, it'll probably play like a Vietnam game with modern weapons. In any case, as best I can tell there is no Xbox version of JO:TR. Looks to be PC only.
As for FSW, it's based off of a modern combat tactics simulator for the US Army. Compared to that, anything they put out will be "kiddified". Given that the Army is deploying this on consoles, and they feel that it's a good platform for real-honest-to-God training of soldiers your whinging is humorous. Oh, and it has absolutely nothing to do with Vietnam though, nor is it strictly a FPS.

Quit yer whining. No one complains how many ww2 games there are. Hell they are still coming. lol For 1 thing, there is only 1 good Vietnam game=Vietcong. And maybe 3 others at most. Now go look up the ww2 games there are.
I am wondering wtf they are even doing an XBox version. I mean, adult players are not gonna want to see candy colored threat direction indicators pulling them out of the realizm. And really, even kiddiefied, kids should not be playing this game IMHO.
Some of the XBox footage didn`t look too bad, like the part walking thru the vegeys down the hill with smoke covering. Hopefully the PC version will have alot more realizm to it. But I doubt Vietcong has anything to worry bout, if the PC version apes the console fodderized kiddiefied version.

Men of Valor looks good, I think I even saw some destructable houses. Full Spectrum Warrior looks cool, but might be one of those quick-to-get-bored games

Full Spectrum Warrior isn't a first person shooter. Doesn't mean it ain't as cool as a 4 foot bong packed with ice cubes, though
