You're right about it not being blood for oil but you fail to realize how much money is being made from this war. ITs more like blood for lucrative contracts.
Our (the US) army has been in the middle east since 91 or sooner, depending on what you mean by "in." We've been meddling in thier politics since the 50s and before that it was european nations meddling in their politics and invading them and stuff.
9/11 was an extreme response to the US presence in the middle east this doesnt justify this crime against humanity but it does raise the question of weather or not its worth it to maintain a prescence in the middle east. Basicly If we want to put bases whereever we damn well please this is the price we're likely to pay.
CNN isnt really right wing they are a profit motivated company like any other company and right wing has been profitable hopefully things will swing back. There will always be an independant media, even if we have to distribute it on the insides of matchbooks and spray it onto interstate overpasses.

I'm happy to see EA is adjusting the bullet deviation on the M60. I was worried they'd just take the LAW away from it and think that fixed the problem.

The only smart thing you said, however it is still uninformed. What you fail to understand is that the tax payers are paying for the war, not the people that are benefiting financially from it.
Our army is in the Middle East because we were attacked. 3000 + US citizens died in that attack. Women and children, too.
As "learning" point out already, Iraq had nothing to do with 911. Bush's so called reason for invading Iraq was based on them believing that Iraq had undisclosed Weapons of Mass Destruction and Bio weapons. To this date they have still not found anything....but they have taken control of the oil fields (fancy that).
