And as far as hurting, bull shit. I consider it cleansing. Developers should know that if they make a piece of shit game people won't buy it, and when so many games are in fact pieces of shit. And lets not forget the VALUE argument, games these days can run shorter than 5 hours (Max Payne 2?). I don't appreciate paying $50 for something that doesn't last a week, as I bought MP2 the day it arrived in stores.
And if they really feel like stopping piracy they can ditch safedisc and pursue something that actually works. The fact that software copy protection is so far behind only goes to show that nobody seems to care that much. The objective is to stay one step ahead of the opposition, not behind.
And Far Cry? Man fuck you, that game's not worth my money in the first place.
