Today is the seventh(?!) anniversary of Michael Abrash's departure from id Software. If you are curious about what the programmer and author (his Ramblings in Realtime can be read online here) is up to lately, he is currently writing libraries at RAD Game Tools where he has worked on creating Bink for the PlayStation 2 and a new version of the Miles Sound System, and he will be conducting a session this week at the Game Developers Conference on "Optimizing Pixomatic For Modern Processors."

Go back to mormonnews. Do you have any concept of how long a period of time 3 billion years is? You haven't come out and said it, but you are plugging creation, which is as wackjob a theory as the "face" on mars being made by intelligent beings. Fossils will never, ever, on any planet contain a complete record of evolution because the creation of fossils relies on specific conditions rarely met. This fact does not mean there is a god. In fact, using equally intelligible logic, I can prove god does not exist: God (according to you) created man, and would have created the capacity for complete faith in god (remember, we were designed with forethought). Ever read the bible? Thousands of pages of people trying to prove, and convert others to their faith... why? Why have thousands of churches, books, priests, missions etc? We have no faith in god is the only answer, and our continued (for thousands of years) expenditure on proving to one another that there is a god (be it god, jesus, allah) shows we have no capacity for faith - and thus, god or any chance of god existing disappears in a cloud of logic. And, if there is no god, evolution is all that is left.
