Most the time i'm much better than anyone I personaly know anyhow, so its a waste of time. I also don't like the idea of being locked up in a room with kids as dorky or dorkier than I am.

Well hello Mr. FancyPants. Fine, you go enter the Q3 Tourney and see if you can get past even the first round.

I can't believe this is the 9th one either. My first was in 99 and even that doesn't seem too long ago.

QuakeCon is awsome. One of the few things I miss about living in Dallas. Back in '97 my friend and I met Blue himslef in line. That was when it was held at the Infomart if I remember correctly. I can't believe this is the 9th one... So many memories (hazy), and so many refreshes of BluesNews (or as some of us remember, Blue's Quake Rag). If you've ever played a multiplayer game and liked it, QuakeCon is your Mecca. QuakeCon is good. Go someday and you will *know* it to be true. Just please don't register until I've had a chance to get my spot. Thanks.

I wouldn't go that far, lonestar. I just happen to have a mental block when it comes to LAN games. Most the time i'm much better than anyone I personaly know anyhow, so its a waste of time. I also don't like the idea of being locked up in a room with kids as dorky or dorkier than I am.

Granted some of those girls are so sluty and sexy that I just wanna grab them by thier under aged.... never mind, too much info. =P

This whole quakecon thing is a collection of the nation's die-hard gamers yet social rejects, who don't have to take vacation time off because they have no job. Who don't have to dress up because they can't. Who don't have to groom themselves because they can't do that either. That includes you girls too. What a pathetic bunch. One look at the past photos is enough to scare someone that's even partially normal away.

Get a Screw DJ, those texas kids love that syrup!

BTW I'd be interested in going if it wasn't a LAN party, I have enough sterotypical geek habits.
