my question is how do i set it all up so i can run a dedicated server from my system.can anyone help
Look for an exe file under c:\install dir\system...
In mine, there's a file called RunServer.bat that says:
@echo off
:10
ucc server %1 %2 %3 %4 %5 %6 %7 %8 %9 -log=server.log
copy server.log servercrash.log
goto 10
So I'm guessing it's ucc.exe with the "server" line on the end...

What does a "on hold" mean?
That you should call the toll free number and ask them what's up.
Mine should be here tomorrow... which is about the same time it'll show up in stores. Shrug.
Now I just need to do some drive swapping since the DVD-R isn't on my system at the moment.

All tech companies are.
I majored in CS and English. Wisely, I distanced myself from the CS. I've had good offers from companies like Monster.com, but I could afford to be picky and none of them offered quite enough cash.
Right now I'm doing financial/marketing analysis for a nationwide mortgage company. I'm the only analyst they have, but I'm a whiz at all things Office/Excel, good with the marketing, and willing to wear about 8 hats in the company and do all the smaller IT jobs, making it easier than waiting for actual IT. They've kept me damn happy, but they're in the wrong state, and just merged with one of the largest mortgage companies in the country, so the floor is about to drop and all of us not selling or closing loans are about to get nice severance packages.
'Sall good. Time to fall back on that LSAT score.

FYI - just got an email from EBGames saying my order has shipped. Tracking number they provided still does not work at the UPS site, will check again tomorrow.
Mine's shipped (from EB) too...should be here via Fed-Ex by 3pm tomorrow! Whoo!

Is a decent sign that my post wasn't meant to be fully serious. And certainly wasn't trolling. Mentioning that I'm alone and possibly stupid for it isn't trolling. Had I said you were all st00pid and only I was smrt, well, that would be trolling.

How wrong you are. Now, I'm not one of those MMORPG types, andf have never even played one. Yet I do know quite a few online friendships which have resulted in good things. And but I do like my 3d...go have a look at the polycount forums to see how people you meet online can not only be friendly and helpfull, but also get you jobs (for example at epic or digital extremes).
But then again, I do realise that these kind of things do not happen at Blue's News...then again, this is not that kind of forum.

German UT Fans are on the ass-side of life once again: The german DVD version will be censored (green blood, no gibs), so I'll have to wait for a US or UK import.
There will probably be cracks or something to show red blood and gibs for German UT owners. I believe that Giants was censored in the US with green blood as well, but I was able to get a crack to change it to red.

Well since your humor looks exactly like trolling, you might want to examine your sense of humor rather than your taste in games. 
The fact type is limited is why things like that exist, it's a crippled medium.
When you do the exact same thing 50 other people do to be annoying, but you mean it to be funny, don't be surprised if people find you annoying. Or answer you in kind by giving you a less than knee-slappingly funny, sarcastic response.

Beamer the world has always and will always be comprised of siff's. People sit around and jerkoff over how much things upset them but never do anything about it. People love bitching and talking and pretending they are important. Remember Eddie Izard gave you the tips to being held in high esteem. 70% is how you look, 20% is how you sound, and only 10% is what you say. Hence in a forum that only uses 30% of our natural conversation methods you often see just how idiotic people really are. They can't hide behind thier looks in a world of text.
Thats why I will never and have never tried to have a conversation with anyone online. None of you really matter as none of you know who I am, can get me a job, or anything else tangable. And if you can do any of those things and you hire someone you've only known online, then you're fucking stupid and you're company is going to die unless they fire you. So its all entertainment and thats it.

I'm sure you know this, but the UT2k3 maps will work just fine with UT2k4...
Actually, I did not. I assumed that since the netcode is completely revamped and incompatible between the two, the same would hold true for the maps as well. All the interviews I have read indicated (but not explicitly stated) that the UT2K3 maps were reworked to bring them up to UT2K4 spec. I guess I was wrong.
What about the mods? Are UT2K3 mods compatible with UT2K4?
