Beware the Ides of March... Oh to hell with that, all due apologies to Caesar, I and many other gamers have been looking forward to today since it was announced as the release date for both Battlefield Vietnam and Unreal Tournament 2004. And for those looking to get in some new gaming without tapping their wallets, today is also the release date for the third Far Cry demo. When it rains it pours. Meanwhile, I've seen ads saying that March 16(?) is the actual BF:V date, but I am holding out hope that this is just a hedge, and that the game can be found today.

it wont be in stores till tommorow... I go through this with EB all the time..

Yeah, I work at EB and the conversation usually goes something like this:

Customer: So you've got [insert hot PC title here] in today right?

Me: No, it's coming in tomorrow.

Customer: But I read online that it would be in stores today.

Me: No, today is the shipping date, which means it is currently in transit. Only a small number of stores will ever get items on the shipping day and we're not one of them.

Customer: Oh. (Customer leaves the store and then proceeds to go to the nearest Game Stop to repeat the process)

I'd like to officially ask Blue for his help in this matter since I've seen him post the shipping date as the in store a date a few times. Help save your fellow gamers a wasted trip to the store, 99% of the time the 'release date' is the shipping date meaning that stores won't get the game until the next morning. Let's educated the masses!
