New Duke3D Port

JonoF's Games Site has a new version of JonoF's Win32 Duke Nukem 3D port. The latest release of this port that aims to "present Duke3D as closely as possible to the original game. Future work will go beyond this and add in new features which may invalidate this aim, but for now, authenticity is priority." This version adds support for "hightile" true color textures. Thanks bicyclerepairman.

I don't see how anything that requires a/the file/files from the original CD-ROM/floppies would be illegitimate.

I wonder if 3DRealms are going to be Jerks about this one.

This is all legit. The source codes for both the Build engine and Duke3D are public:

Didn't 3DRealms already shut down a guy that was trying to make Duke3D with the Unreal Engine?

Of course this thing is still going to use the Build Engine and Sprites, so it's not as modern. I wonder if 3DRealms are going to be Jerks about this one.

And if not... I bet it's out before Duke Nuke 'Em Forever. LOL!
