Ex-squeeze me? We obviously differ in opinions but Arcanum was an amazing game and from what I've heard from my insanely critical friend who considers fallout 1 and 2 the best games ever, ToEE was great as well.

Maybe if they weren't keepin the license for FO-POS 1/2 they might put the license up for sale, but they wont do it while they have the 2 shit spin off's in the works. A sad day, their were some good guys at BIS, and looking back years ago to interplay's past glory, both financial and critical, it goes to show how inept the titus team of the caen brothers are, when you see the shape interplay is in now.

If nobody has the license it can't be further fucked up. The best we can hope for is a new awesome post apoc RPG by an emerging developer who hasn't sold out the PC gamers or is on a short leash to their publisher.

I can't believe this... I've been waiting for Fallout 3 since Fallout 2 came out way back when. What are we going to get instead? Some idiotic, half-arsed, CRASS, CONSOLE RIPOFF called "Brotherhood of Steel"! Hopefully they actually hand off the game to somebody else (who won't sell out to all those crappy consoles like those buffoons at Ion Storm did with Deus Ex 2). I hate the way the console market pollutes the entire industry with its crap. Because of idiotic users and cheap publishers, we get sub-par games that SHOULD be an embarrassment to any developer. In the meantime, games like the Fallout series get mutilated and abandoned.
*sigh* Here's to hoping something will change...

I'm reminded of the image at the end of Fallout 1, with the Vault Dweller and Dogmeat walking off into the sunset. After a lot of good times, the adventure was over. Thank you, Black Isle, for all the incredible games you created over the years, and all the enjoyment you brought. And best of luck to all the employees now looking for jobs; I hope you can find something as good as BIS in their glory days.
