IGN and GameSpy Announce Merger Agreement; Combination Will Create Web's Largest Network of Gaming Destination Sites confirms at least part of the recent rumor that GameSpy Industries was somehow in play (story), announcing that GameSpy is merging with IGN. Word is: "Because of their distinct audiences and strong loyalties, both the IGN.com and GameSpy.com brands will be retained. The companies expect to complete the merger in the first half of 2004."

And as a nice little sidenote, the ever hypocritcal Steve Gibson of FileShack ('OMG NO EXLCUSIVE DEMOS EVER - EXCEPT MINE ARE OK!!!') got in bed with ASE to provide... you guessed it... the exclusive download location for all ASE updates, including maps, mods, etc.

I'm not sure what that means. ASE updates through the browser and\or you can dowload ASE from it's own website. I've never used Fileshack.

Anyhoo, back to the subject at hand. My original point of still stands. Dagok seems to be quite happy just to call people ignorant or flat out liars. Your first post was rather lucid and congenial but you've degenerated to a greater level of defamation with each additional post. Congratulations!! Obviously you never played MOH:AA when it was first released. But you can't simply admit that, can you? Quick Google and here's a link. Read the second last paragraph, it's regarding MP.

Try to come to grips with what I'm saying and read it thoroughly. I don't have a problem with Gamespy's website or in-game browsers that are powered by Gamespy. I have a problem with the way they handled that situation of exclusivity. Understand???
